Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of World of Warcraft players around the world who purchased the Cenarion Hatchling pet, we’ve raised a total of more than $1.9 million USD to support the ongoing earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan. In May, we announced that for every Cenarion Hatchling purchased by July 31, 2011, 100% of the $10 USD adoption fee would be going to assist victims of this disaster -- and the community responded by opening up their hearts and wallets wide. Thanks again for your support and for helping to make an impact on the lives of those affected by these events.

I like how people call things "true facts" without providing any evidence that what they're saying is actually true facts. That isn't saying I don't believe you, Nekrotik - gearing up your toons has become significantly easier with each passing expansion, from being restricted to raids to being restricted to heroics and raids to being restricted to... well nothing. You get epics everywhere.Something that hasn't changed, however, is that leveling is almost always mindless and dull. And as pezz says, if you were searching Wowhead during WotLK to provide help, I'm not sure how you were figuring anything out.
i do still enjoy WoW tho im a wrath baby, so i havent lost they shiney new toy feel yet. but even I hav to Admit wrath was fairly easy and it had a bit more fun involved because it was easier then cata so people weren't pressured and going crazy during raids. But hey harder content is what everyone wanted and we got it. Jus now we have to grind alot to get places. I dont really mind it but my comp broke so i got a forced break and when i got to come back i really didn't mind grinding a bit cause i got a slight break.
Give us an official vanilla wow server and one official BC server... So people who don't like the crappy changes over the years can play the game they like.Had to post it even though it seems it will never happen. :/
Doable? Certainly. Possible? Maybe. Will they ever do it, though? I very much doubt it. They put resources into developing new expansions, and it would be counterproductive to let people play previous expansions.
After some thought I've come up with a very simple cause...For the average to 1/2 nerd player:
That's the thing though...all those times Arthas showed up, said he could kill us....and then walked away; that didn't make me fear him, that made me realize Blizzard turned him into a complete and absolute joke. Whenever he showed up in a zone as part of a quest line I didn't go "Oh ^&*!, it's the Lich King!" I went "Oh %^&*, not again!" I prefer that Deathwing isn't constantly in our face to keep him as a real threat.
I agree with Balrog. While Deathwing is more powerful, he just isn't as malevolent and scary as Arthas.
To add, Deathwing kinda seems like a little, i mean.... big pussy. We barely see him and he doesn't really seem menacing as the big boss we gotta kill in this expansion. Sure he tore up Azeroth. We don't even get a chance to kill him anyway. He is the main antagonist in Cata... and he's not the final boss. Blizzard brought back Ragnaros, a boss from the good ol' days, before the main antagonist. When I saw Deathwing in the trailers, I thought to myself, "Cool...I guess. He's a big dragon with metal all over." When I saw Arthas in the trailer, i was like, "OMG I gotta kill this guy. He just looks like a complete prick!" I wanted to actually kill Arthas. However, i really don't see Deathwing as a formidable BIG DEAL boss. He just....doesn't scare me.
yeaaah.... the subscription losses were more than 300k... but Blizzard pulled the 'FREE OUTLANDS!+ Recruit a friend to 80' to save themselves a worse fate lol....
I think people felt connected to Arthas because they got to play him in Warcraft 3 and has had the threat of the scourge hanging over them for the last 5+ years. Deathwing is an older villain (Warcraft 2 if memory serves?), and as such, many of the younger players never got to see him in a game other than WoW. And even in WoW, he hasn't been seen much at all - except for those times when he decides to torch an entire zone (which, I must say, is badass). As Adams said, The Lich King walked in on us half a gazillion times and told us of how easily he could destroy us and out world and then... he walked away. He let us continue killing his minions and destroying his strongholds. That's not a badass villain, that's a joke.
