My favourite memory of WoW was the day I finally achieved level 80 on my main toon. After playing her for approximately 2 and a half years, you wouldn't believe the delight in finally getting my first 80. I squeed. :)...And now to get her to level 85... 0.o;
I got married in World of Warcraft. No, really, I did. I'd never played before I met the man who's now my husband and in fact, had no interest in gaming whatsoever. He introduced me to the game and eventually, his guild. He'd already told me how they were more like a family than just a group of gamers and I quickly realized he was exactly right. I was invited to join and was immediately taken under their wing and made to feel like part of the family. Four months after I joined, I was preparing for my wedding when I got a notice that one of my fellow guildies was preparing to celebrate my impending nuptials with an in-game wedding ceremony. I'd never heard of such a thing, but I thought it was a uniquely sweet gesture to make. At the appointed time, I logged in with my soon-to-be husband and met up with several guildies who were waiting for us at the chapel in Stormwind. Another member of my guild (one of the only other girls) had even brought a wedding dress for my toon to wear. It was so kind of everyone to participate in the in-game ceremony, as it was the only way we could celebrate together. Obviously, my fellow guild members are located all over the United States, so there was no way they could be with us for the marriage day itself. My best memory of WoW is that ceremony, when I got to share a part of one of the best moments in my life with the people who mean quite a bit to me, both in-game and out.
I think my favorite memory was back in Vanilla when I hit 60 for the first time. I was ecstatic that I could finally get my mount! It was such a big deal back then, when you had to work really hard to get the money for it (especially alone, without a guild, and with a brand new character.) I was so much faster, all of a sudden, it felt like I could go anywhere now!
My favorite memory of World of Warcraft is definetly the first time i ran my first character up from 1-85 because i used to play on my friends account and make DK's but i made my own and got my first 1-85 character and i'm working on my second 85 ;) also thius isnt my gaming email my gaming email is Craiglantz3@netzero.com but i forgot the password because my WoW account password and email password are diffrent ;)!
My best memory of wow has to be the zombi invasion event. to start with i was really annoyed with it as i couldnt do any quests but then i got with it and had a great deal of fun turning everyone i could catch. the best part was when about 40 of us all disembarked the boat from booty bay into ratchet it was awsome and i got some really cool screen shots from that. well done blizzard obviously the best event in the history of warcraft.
I don't think I really have just one "favorite memory". More of a favorite feeling, a feeling that really leaves a lasting memory... The feeling of satisfaction when you finally kill that progression boss that you and your guild-mates have been striving to defeat after many long nights, followed by the screams of joy over Ventrilo. I think feelings such as this is one of the main reasons that World of Warcraft is such a great game, and has tenaciously lasted as long as it has.
My favorite memory was when I first met my current boyfriend via WoW. He was in the guild I joined, and I remember spending endless hours out in Stormpeaks "farming" herbs and the Time-Lost Protodrake so I could spend time with him. As of tomorrow, it will be our 2 year anniversary. Thank you, World of Warcraft.
My favorite moment was when my best friend got me in his guild, and I got to actually see the Lich King and down him.. The guild I used to be in was lazy and unfocused, and it was rarely ever fun playing because of lame drama.. so after a server transfer to Elune, my original home.. back I went with my pal Elucid and we killed that jerk Lich King! Everyone else in his awesome guild were geared to the @#$% and every boss managed to drop an up for me almost.. was a very fortuitous and memorable day by far!
My favorite moment would be with my very first character, an Undead priest. I knew nothing about the world, so as I made my way from Deathknell to Brill, I was very, very careful to avoid the giant, hulking abomination walking along the road. I only later realized he - Gordo - was friendly and gave a quest. Very shortly after that, I also saw a giant tower near the town and decided I had to stay away from it - something that massive just had to have enemies in it. (No, there wasn't a zep around it at the time I got to Brill.)
My favorite memory i have about WoW has to be when my warlock first hit 80 and my guild took me through naxx that night to help gear me up so that i could exp end game content. No matter how low my dps was or if i did something wrong because i didn't know what to do right off the bat they would always help me out be it buying and crafting me gems, enchanting my gear or even making me new gear. I'm still in that guild to this day, it made me extremely happy to know that i had friends that would help me out anytime i needed it.
My favourite memory in wow was when I finally got my leaf for my first main, Bynd, the hunter. It took me at least 50 runs through MC to get that damn leaf, but sure enough, it finally dropped for me, and I got my epic bow. I remember it as if it were yesterday (and no, it was not just yesterday, it happened during vanilla, long before an expansions were around!)
One of my favorite moments has to be when I was leveling my shaman with my best friend at his house. We were doing an instance and we befriended a dwarf paladin by the name of Ganann. My friend and I had been drinking that night, so party chat was a lot of fun. We had a great time in that dungeon and then went our separate ways. I think it was weeks later that I saw Ganann in Warsong Gulch! We were so excited to see each other. It was a lot of fun and made me appreciate the social aspect of WoW.
I think my favorite moment in WoW is when I got the Time-Lost Proto Drake. I had been scouring The Storm Peaks for days and then fell asleep discontent as always. In my dream I had 3 occurrences: 1) I was on my mount just flying around and I saw the Time-Lost Proto Drake, when I went to fly into it to aggro, he knocked me off my flying mount and killed me.2) The next time I saw the Time-Lost Proto Drake in my dream, I had aggro'd it successfully, but upon landing a warlock used shadowbolt and tagged it before me. (I'm a hunter btw)3) The final dream I had, I finally aggro'd and even tagged the TLPD. But upon killing it the roll was split between me and another person. I rolled a 1 and lost. But then when I woke up, I was determined moreso than before to get it. So I logged in right after a patch or update was needed and all talents were reset. I happened to do one path around Storm Peaks and decided to hop on an alt. When I came back I found the TLPD dead under where I logged off. I was devastated, that I skipped my math class. (Then again numbers stink!) (8:20 AM)Throughout the day, I was helping with a baseball event and some other things. But when I came back it was about 10:40 PM. I was exhausted and I was making my way to the bathroom after logging on WoW. And when I was about to go, I had an image of the Time-Lost Proto Drake pop in my head. Rushing out of the bathroom with my pants about down, I ran into the room and I almost died upon looking at my screen. There it was! The Time-Lost Proto Drake just flapping around saying, KILL ME! I was like please, let me end you so I can ride you. And that's how I got it. The coincidence of this is that, I rolled a -1 and still won. Thank god for being out of range of other members. But who knew how dreams could actually be a reality! So those of you that love mounts as much and as crazily as I do, don't give up on your dreams! (I still buy TCG cards hoping a spectral tiger will fall out XD)I have the screenshots but since I made this account recently, it won't let me post them. *Pout*
I believe mine would have to be the first time I stepped into the arena during BC as a Ret pally. God, that was fun. My first real PvP experience in WoW, too. I was paired with a Demo lock at the time and we just had a blast with it. We weren't experts by any means, but we did beat many popular comps at the time and had fun doing it. We had a falling out at some point, but those days of BC were, are, and probably always be my favorite :)
My favorite memory of wow was getting my very first title (the noble) by myself and the Venomhide raptor after 20 days of taking care of the baby raptor
My fondest memory of World of Warcraft was when my friend Missy helped me run through Tanaris to power level, but instead she she lead me in to the Caverns of Time where i just die time and time again. All the while she was laughing at me over vent. I so mad, but looking back i miss those days and all my old friends.
My favorite memory has to be going for a Realm First! when Cataclysm came out. I had planned out in advance to go for Realm First! Illustrious Archaeologist. I race-switched Cayleb to dwarf for the Archaeology bonus racial, slept for 18 hours prior to Cata's launch, and asked around the guild for warlocks and mages to help me get from place to place faster. I did end up getting a Realm First, but it wasn't the one I expected. I hadn't realized they had added achievements for Realm First! Grand Master, so when that popped up on my screen I was both pleasantly surprised by the win and mildly annoyed that my competition had gotten some heads-up on my progress towards the end goal. In the end, I lost out on the other Realm First! by only three minutes, but it was well worth the effort. When I contributed my congratulations to the undoubted flood that winner received, he congratulated me in turn and we had a great exchange about the race and our efforts and how his guild mates goaded him when I got the earlier Realm First! While I didn't set out to lose the race (who does?), I couldn't have lost to a better sport, nor to someone who clearly also worked hard for it and deserved the win.
Favorite WOW moment....It is not so much a moment in the game but what the game has done for me. Let me explain....I live on the west coast, my oldest son lives in Alaska, we had a strained relationship over the years to a point in time where we did not speak to each other at all.He has been playing WOW for four years, my youngest daughter for 3 years. My daughter talked me into trying the game out along with my wife, their step-mother. As we became more familiar with it, we began to do quests and instances with her, one day we needed a port and she whispered my son. He shows up and I said hello. His only comment was "hi", ported us and left.Days later we met up again when I had a question and whispered him, he was curt and gave me "just the facts" but he did answer. As time went on over the past two years we began our relationship again both in the game and outside the game. It gave us a common area to begin talking. I now look forward to the phone calls from him and hope to visit him soon.Over the past two years we have shared all the moments of WOW together, the victories, the wipes, the bad times, the good times and the funny times as not only a father/son but as a family with another son joining us along with girlfriend. Together we play, we talk, we laugh at me when I do really stupid things such as putting the fire out in Thunderbluff, clicking on my mount to fly away only realizing as I plummeted to my death that it was a ground mount not flying...the laughter was so hard in vent that no one could fight the guards and we all died.So I want to thank World of Warcraft for giving me and my family countless hours of entertainment, the meeting of new friends and most of all....time with my son both in the game and out. You have allowed me to be a father again to my son and for that I can never thank you enough. In closing, congrads on your anniversary, the great service you and World of Warcraft provide and being a part of helping me reach my son.thank you,Yugstak
My favourite moment in wow was running my first successful bg on Alliance in the Rampage Battle Realm. The Horde had always dominated every bg up to that point, but this particular run the Alliance actually cooperated with each other. Not only did Alliance win, they stomped the Horde. It is a very fond memory and a sigh of relief. ;)Now I look forward to the building of the Firelands and my long awaited scorchling pet.
my favorite moment was when my brother looted ashbringer. i practically did back flips just knowing that it was on my account. He killed everything with it. From when he was farming VC or dpsing in a dungeon. it was EPIC!
