As a Brit, I approve of the Title!Cheers.
Do note, however, that this guide won't cover ones that drop negligible items for the most part. But if it's worth camping because it has a unique model for a Hunter to tame or a rare item that collectors would pine for, this guild will have it.Err. Interesting. By happenstance you meant "this guide will have it." right? :)
As always, excellent guide.

Great guide thanks
Nice guide. It's cleared up a couple of the Cata rares I wasn't sure about (and some I didn't know existed >.>). I'm working on Frostbitten myself atm - 7 to go, not including a TLPD which I am also hunting; if I see Vyragosa again I may cry -.-Once that's done I'll clear up the last 6 I need for Bloody Rare. Oooh the nerd points! I saw it suggested that leaving alts logged out in different zones made it easier to check for spawns, but since 4.1 I've had issues being disconnected 80% of the time when I swap toons, so that's not been an option. But it's not been too much of a hassle just flying around. Gets to be a bit hypnotic after a while though..I have a guildie who has successfully camped TLPD, Poseidus, Aeonaxx and the Camel, and never seems to get bored with it. I just don't have that kind of patience.
Now, when I've been levelling alts through the redesigned Azeroth, I'm finding that rare mobs are actually quite easy to come across. My hunter found a new rare mob in almost every new zone she set foot in.Is this intentional? I'm sure it wasn't directly after a realm restart, so the mobs had time to be encountered and killed before I got there.Yes, it is intentional, most of the old-Azeroth rares respawn extremely quickly compared to previously. On a side-note, I really wish there was an achievment for killing all the old-Azeroth rare-spawns.
Yay thanks for alerting even MORE people about Aeonaxx. It's hard enough catching him with the 15+ people camping Quartzite basin and the usual 3-5 camping the other spots.INB4: QQ more, GTFO, L2play.
I feel the need to clarify the taming method for Solix. The daily you mentioned constantly spawns elementals in the otherwise-empty cavern, and is not a viable method for taming. Instead, you must kite him using Frost Trap, Concussive Shot, and Aspect of the Cheetah until his focus drops low enough to remove the buff that makes him too fast to tame. Tame quickly once the buff drops, for like Skitterflame, once his resource bar reaches zero he will die.Reference (aside from server first tame on Suramar):Petopia 4.2 PTR ThreadEdit: You're also missing Grubthor, an Oozeworm look-alike in Silithus.

I would have thought the Official Aeonaxx Thread already spilled the beans :)Will update hunter pets, now that they are live, with more info. Will have to check to see how unique the duplicate ooze is--been staying away from writing up rares that have duplicate skins.
There's also Uhk'loc in Un'goro as a dead ringer for Tsul'kalu. Both worm and gorilla skins only have the two occurances, though.
This is just the kind of guide I was looking for. Thanks!
The Green fire spider was spoted right be hind the inforno in the fire lands to tame you must get on one of the floting plat forms.
Very nice article, very useful for new rares in 4.2 :) Thank you xxx
Dont know if they are considered rares...since they are spawned from other NPC's.But the blue ghost like carrion Bird Angered Arakkoa Protectorand the Boar Spirit are also to very cool, and rarely seen hunter pets(at least on my server anyways)Boar Spirit = Boar SpiritAngered Arakkoa Protector = Angered Arakkoa Protector
Awesome Guide. :p
Bro'Gaz the Clanless is missing :P
I'm trying not to put too much hope into the shared spawned times between the Bloodseeker and Aeonaxx, no matter how much I want to have some kind of solid fact towards getting the cursed dragon. :P But from what I've read on the Aeonaxx page on here a lot of people have said about it, and now that it's in an article here it's making me think it's a bit more likely!
