Thanks! Been waiting for this. :D
Nice article :DBtw Anzu is in the wrong section :)
Thanks, moved Anzu back up to TBC.
/me awaits the inevitable complaints that always follow any guide done ever =(
The Trial of the Crusader Insanity/Immortality mounts were not removed because they could be cheesed (ICC & Ulduar drakes remain), but because with the release of Cata they completely scrapped the "Attempts" set-ups, so there was no way to track how many times the group wiped. Also, this is not a complain, just a observation, since the OP seemed bewildered by its strange interaction in regards to the other Wrath Dungeon mounts.
The Trial of the Crusader Insanity/Immortality mounts were not removed because they could be cheesed (ICC & Ulduar drakes remain), but because with the release of Cata they completely scrapped the "Attempts" set-ups, so there was no way to track how many times the group wiped. Also, this is not a complain, just a observation, since the OP seemed bewildered by its strange interaction in regards to the other Wrath Dungeon mounts.I think it's weird they kept a lot of instance mounts but removed things like the Black Protodrake/Plagued Protodrakes plus the Immortality mounts, honestly. Cheesing was part of it, though--while I think you're right that they scrapped the 'attempts' idea, it is ridiculously easy to do tribute to immortality now so it's unfair to those of us who did it back when it was the hardest achievement in game (and the most RNG based one as well). Sort of like how Invincible is now a 1% droprate; it can be cheesed and done so easily now, it had to be removed. The real question is why the other tier mounts (for ICC/Ulduar) were not removed if they thought removing the Naxx ones was needed.
I assumed part of the reasoning behind scrapping the attempts-based setup was so that people wouldn't go back in great gear and cheese it and achievements--just completely destroy the system to prevent farming from happening. Around that same time, the droprates on Mimiron/Invincible were nerfed to discourage players in Cata from farming the places at 85 and getting easy mounts.Like Ashelia, I'm amused that t8/t10 mounts were kept in after the Naxx mounts were removed. The reasons the Naxx mounts were removed could easily be applied to t8/t10 ones as well (outgearing, 'unfair' to people who completed it during that exact tier, etc).
Is it just me, but if you mouse over several achievements they pop up in several languages :POtherwise Great guide! I shall get on farming some of these :)
Awesome guide :D Just a typo here:A major part of Nagrand is the reputation grind to acquire talbuk mounts from the Kurenai and the The Mag'har which look like the wild talbuks roaming the zone. The riding talbuks aren't armored and cost 700, while the war talbuks have some armor and cost 100.Too much zeros in the bold part :P
I would open a ticket under feedback about the languages. It's definitely something that's happened to me as well but I personally have no control over that :( I've told other staff members about it though.
I'm not sure but I think you forgot about adding Winterspring Saber and Venomhide Ravasaur.
The Mekgineer's Chopper/ Mechano-Hog requires 12,500 gold, not 1,250 for the vendor parts.
I don't think Red Qiraji Resonating Crystal is too rare. I've had three of them drop back-to-back on a run before.
Engineers exalted with Valiance Expedition/ Horde Expedition from quests and spillover dungeon rep in Wrath can learn how to craft the BoE Mekgineer's Chopper/ Mechano-Hog. The pattern is fairly pricey to acquire and even worse to craft. Players wanting a mount will have to save up 1,250 just for the vendor-only parts. It's definitely a fun mount though; the detailing on it is amazing, it carries two players, and grants Get to the Choppa!.The price is a typo it should say 12,500. Salvaged Iron Golem Parts- 3000g, Goblin-Machined Piston- 1000g each, and Elementium-Plated Exhaust Pipe- 1500g. I actually got a little excited thinking they dropped the prices till i looked it up.
@Faemu--Winterspring/Venomhide mounts are listed under Ground: Reputation.I should see if there's other places where I leave out a 0 in coding the money.Compared to the other three, the Red mount is pretty rare. Back in vanilla, it wasn't common for guilds to clear AQ at all--the trash going to Twin Emps and C'thun was a real killer (and it always seems the majority of red bugs drop there). Some guilds required you to even spend DKP on red mounts. You can probably get one if you have a regular AQ farming group, but you probably won't walk in and see one drop from a single trash pull (like the other colors).
Ye just noticed .p I thought it would be under vanilla section.
Nitpick/question:if you've already gotten the Crusader title, meaning you're guaranteed 17 Champion's Seal per day from quests. Some of the quests are randomly available per day. The max is 14 per day unless you get lucky from the reward bags. I think I've seen more than one seal drop from those exactly once in the last few months. If there actually is a way to get 17/day, I'd love to know. Also, I'm still ticked about them adding the seahorse to Poseidus. I killed him when I leveled through Vashj'ir the week after launch.
I can't do anything about the tooltips--not my area :(Other 3 seals should come from doing ToC heroic.
Two mounts were removed when old Zul'Gurub was taken out of the game; two new mounts are introduced in the new Zul'Aman Zul'Gurub:It's both possible to see both the Blue Drake and Azure Drake drop at once.
