They didn't answer mah question D:I wanted to know if there were plans to make Crafting Professions more streamlined when leveled with their associated Gathering Profession, so one doesn't outlevel the other so fast. Or generally if they were going to make leveling Crafting Professions less of a pain in the ass in general.
as for the new recipies for different professions up through the tiers.... they did this in ICC. mabye i misunderstood the question but i rememeber new craftable gear at each tier in wrath. i think the only profession that diddnt get anything as we went up the tier ladder in wrath was engineering. thats a profession i would really like to see grow with the tiers.Actually, how it worked in BC with weaponsmithing was you made a weapon, and then later that weapon would be a reagent for a recipe for an upgraded form of the weapon. For example, to make Black Planar Edge, you would first have to make The Planar Edge. Thus, it was more like the cloth for tailoring than tier gear.
Same thing goes for Engineering; to make goggles you often need a lower-level version as base. Flying Tiger Goggles -> Green Tinted Goggles -> Fire Goggles -> Gnomish Goggles or Master Engineer's Goggles.I'm looking forward to the revamp of the flow of professions and making them match with gathering professions and character level better, especially regarding Inscription. When they moved so many high-end spells to level 10 and linked them to talent trees, they kind of forgot to adjust the associated Glyphs; resulting in something like a Glyph of Penance requiring Outland mats. I have 19 toons, and enough are high-level with professions to support the ones I take on alts, but I wish it wouldn't have to be so. I'd much rather get my own mats without having to venture into areas too high for me, or having to visit the AH or a higher alt.The only thing I still keep wishing for is that they'll add some more non-caster goggles to Engineering at low/mid levels.. my feral Druid doesn't care for spirit or intellect and would rather see a goggle or two with agi.
For people complaining about fishing, it isn't anywhere near as bad now as it was in earlier days.Back when I started playing, the fishing channel lasted 30 seconds. In addition to this, there was a chance of fish not biting, making the entire 30 seconds a waste, as well as the chance of the fish getting away (if your fishing was lower level), not even giving you the chance of getting your fishing skill up. And in order to get your fishing past 225, you had to do a quest starting in Dustwallow that required you to travel all across Azeroth in order to catch multiple rare fish, and back then, you didn't get a fancy rod as a reward. Lastly, fishing pools acted no different than open water, aside from getting specific fish from pools.Although fishing could be better (e.g. increased skillups from pools, dailies), it could be much, much worse. Appreciate what you have, IMO.
I'm thankful to hear about the original and BC streamlining being looked at. While 1-60 content is a fair bit better with the gathering being streamlined, BC content was designed to be brutal to skill up and it still is.
In fact, we have Top Men working on it. Top. Men WinI'm also interested about these "New professions" dailies that they're considering. And Tome of Glyph Mastery updates sounds good too!
I wish you could like posts, this how it used to be, and how it should be. Leveling fishing is way to easy now and fast. Why make it even faster?
simple yes or no answers with an explanation are better than maybehalf the answers were EXACTLY what you're complaining that they're not
Another bunch of double-speak and politician style answers. Particularly love the enchanters making wands question.Q: Hey can we enchanters make some wands to help with the pre-raid wand shortage?A: Hey good question, we really like the Magic Lamps and we're going to let you make some more things like magic lamps soon! Isn't that cool?I think someone let their pet ghoul type their homework.

About the only time I use a wand is on my healing priest when I'm not needing to actively heal but don't want to use up mana on damage spells.
thats a rather dumb idea unbounding choas orbs the ah is either gonna get flooded with them, 85s are just go to ah and dont have to work for them, or toons gonna make 'em uberly expensive overpriced just like everything on ah
