Pretty easy to devise a strategy after watching a stream or two. Seems to be an easy entry boss for guilds walking into Firelands, which could be a downside considering there's only 6 more bosses behind her :P

The raid is supposed to be geared towards people in 359 gear, so obviously it's overtuned at the moment.
Normal modes are and have been for an expansion or two now tuned for the gear level accessible from heroics and vendors at the time. This is why BWD and BoT can be done in blues, this is why they released additional heroics with ToC and ICC alongside the updated gear from vendors. It is thus reasonable to assume that Normal mode firelands will be tuned for 359 gear. Those in heroic raiding gear will have a significant advantage walking into firelands, which is just as well since they've put the effort into getting the heroic gear. People commenting should remember that this is the ptr, raids are almost always overtuned on testing.
Hm. I didn't find the damage of the add that extreme. I have had him with up to six stacks a few times, and one healer could keep me up. But we are 372-geared.
Wouldn't the way to "skip" content be through Badge gear (Points, I guess, in Cata)? The reason people skipped Ulduar when going ToC was mostly because badge gear was there.
Well the reason people weren't killing it was more that the fight scripting is not complete.For Phase 2, she has her energy bar that goes down from 100 again while performing an AE fire blast during the phase. I'd presume that she goes back to her web once her energy hits 0, but she doesn't at the moment. This means she just continues to blast the raid with increasing fire damage, and everyone just dies.Vodka took like 2-3 minutes AFTER the point where all guilds are wiping to kill her, so that's a vital part of the fight that isn't incorporated yet.And as an opening boss, there's no way it'll require anything but full 359's to complete. The adds could hit hard, but when watching Method attempt her, they dipped down to 2 healers because they wanted more DPS, so the healing can't be THAT bad.
