Congrats on the winners! It's the writer's decision how much effort he wants to put in to the post. This contest was nice to read because of the some inviduals that made some effort in their posting.Rules basically said the winners are randomly picked, it's no writing contest.
Congrats everyone! The important thing here is that the person who won the major prize sounded like she really needed it :) Sure it would be nice to have a new PC but I don't need one.I actually read the rules before entering so was well aware that the prize was to be picked at random, my suggestion to the whingers is to do the same in the future :P
I never win these contests that's why I never enter them because they only pick the ones that don't need it and pampered too ! GG WoWhead on making me super pissed off because your bunch elitest jerks.
It's just a contest sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. I didn't win anything but it's ok. I will try next time again. It's a matter of luck and QQin' is not the answer. + enraging on the CMs will just make you look bad in there eyes and forget winning anything further. :D I'm actually happy that I created that poem for my favorite zone even that I didn't get anything, I won personal satisfaction :D
i wanted to enter
I hesitate to post this because people are complaining about whiners then whining themselves about other people having an opinion. All I really want to say is that, no it wouldnt have been biased for them to pick an entry based on the best submition and suggesting that it would be is just plain dumb. It takes no effort to post an achievement that you liked, but it does take some thought to explain why it was meaningful to you. As for those of you saying that people should have read the rules, well the rules were not clear that this would be a lottery especially since the contest was called a contest. In fact, the only place where it was explicitly stated that it would be random was in a one-word link tucked away at the very bottom of a page that was also linked away from the original contest page. Basic web design says that a third level page is going to have significantly less traffic than a top or second level page. Now I know that I am a new member (used the site for a while but yes, i just made the account for the contest) and for some reason people get chewed up for having a differing opinion, but I just felt this needed to be said. All that taken into view, however, Grats to the winner! Thousands of people entered this contest (sorry, lottery) and I had no reasonable expectation that I would win, so obviously Im not whining. Hopefully things will be a bit more clear next time.
(Inb4 Inception) You just made a post whining about whiners who whine over whiners. But hey, atlest you congratulated the winners.
