I love Kael'thas Sunstrider in The Eye, this is the hardest fight I have ever had to do, even with 6 85s we still needed to know the mechanics of the fight. This is not like some of the old fights that became a simple tank and spank after the level cap was raised.
I haven't really never raided or done much instances/dungeons since I'm pretty new to the game, but for now, it has to be The Lich King! I loved the fight, because it was so challenging for me (w00t epix fun yeey) because I was a noob back then and didn't really have good gear when I first encountered him. Also I love the lore of Lich King, lot more than any other characters lore in the game. I don't know what it is, but I just really love the story of The Lich King/Arthas that sort of thing, basically I loved the lore in WotLK expansion really much.
The Lich King is my favorite encounter in the game. Playing Warcraft 3, you play as Arthas and go through his journey to becoming the Lich King. He was trying to save his people from the Scourge invasion on Lordaeron. Upon landing on Northrend to kill Mal'ganis, he meets Muradin Bronzebeard. Muradin tells Arthas about Frostmourne. Arthas thinking he can destroy Mal'ganis and save his people with the sword, goes with Muradin to find the sword. When they found the sword, Muradin figures out that Frostmourne is cursed and warns Arthas not to take it. Arthas, full of vengeance, does not listen to poor Muradin. Arthas takes the sword and the ice block holding Frostmourne shatters, killing Muradin (or so we thought) in the process. Arthas did get his vengeance on Mal'ganis. Instead of going back to Lordaeron to help his people, he goes off wandering Northrend. Over time he becomes insane from the whispers of the Lich King (Ner'zhul at the time). The whole backstory is part of why the LIch King is my favorite boss. There is a lot of lore in this fight, unlike a certain Marrowgar we all know. I grew to hate the Lich King over the course of WC3 and Frozen Throne, but I couldn't kill the Lich King in those games. I was finally able to do it in Wrath and was overjoyed. The fight in general is also fun too. The mechanics are more unique compared to the other bosses we raid over the expansions. Arthas destroying the outer ring of the Frozen Throne shows how much power he truly has. Now with that power you would assume he would just kill everyone in one hit (which later on he does), but why doesn't he do it right away? It is because when Arthas became the Lich King, there was still a bit of good and sanity left in him. It is this part of Arthas that weakens the Lich King. Not only are we fighting with the Ashbringer, we are also fighting with the good left in Arthas. When the Lich King finally dies and the souls captured by Frostmourne are free, it leaves many questions. What will happen with Sylvanas now that she has her revenge? What will happen with the Argent Crusade? Will Dalaran relocate to somewhere else? The lore involved with the Lich King and this fight makes the whole encounter so much better and more emotional. This is why I believe the Lich King is the best encounter in the game... as long as people decide to stay out of defile.
Ooh, this is a hard one...I had a huge amount of fun learning the Rotface and Festergut encounters with my guild, though I think I would have to put it down to Rotface as my favorite. It was difficult getting everyone to do what they were supposed to when they were supposed to, but once it started to click, it was like watching a well-oiled machine. I love being a part of something like that.
My favorite encounter is The Big Bad Wolf from the Opera Event in Karazhan. Run away little girl, run away!
Well, technically, it's PvP, but I always Love Vann, just because when everyone comes together in the Battleground, a whole raid just forms together without even having to talk! Always my favorite.
Deathbringer Saurfang I loved it, it was a great fight for my healer and was pretty fun for me, it was fun mainly because every raid I would yell the /yell he would do when he attacked :).
Well in honor to the ever closing "apocalypse" of our world why not go out with a bang on warcrafts world with the Four Horsemen from Naxxramas!

Definately TOC - Twin val'kyrs very likely hardmode at the start of that patch, cant remember the number... BUT! the quite simple mechanics of the fight to change auras depending on which valkyr you were attacking and what ability was gonna be cast... it was extremely fun to see the newbies in the guild fail on the nova thing.. it was awesome.. truely, maybe it wasnt for all, but the guild i was raiding with at that time, was.. just amazing and we were all flaming on vent at the new guys and made them leave.. it was so much fun to take in a experienced raider instead of him later that night
im total agree with Prince Malchezaar of Karazhan, all the bosses are really funny, since the horse to the prince, i've never do the chest event :( ill like to it one someday.see us :D
mine is Kara's chess fight, no contestits a nice change of pace from wow and its fun to play a whole other person with completely different moves than your own, and its fun trying to play them all as well
As soon as the raid was formedAfter clearing the way of trash,I heard the whisper "Bone storm"Marrowgar was ready to smash. It started of nice and fun,his fires came up, and we began to run.It went bad when in vent we heared "Yikes!"All of our healers were impaled by bone spikes. The flames were still going, our healers impaled,As soon as i saw it, i knew we had failed. As quickly as the raid was formed,Our raid was bone stormed.True story about Marrowgar too. He's still my favorite boss even if he epicly slammed my raid.I forgot to thank marrowgar for my Bryntroll :)Im a bad poet, i switched from abab to aabb mid poem :P
Ragnaros is my favorite so far. Still kill him every week. Close second is all of Karazhan because of the atmosphere of the zone.
Yogg-Saron was definitely the most awsome and epic encounter I've ever seen. Very complex tactics, great lore behind it (Old Gods are in my opinion the best enemies in WoW lore), INCREDIBLE voice acting (still give me creeps when I hear it :P " I am the lucid dream!" :D awsome), the visions that he makes... All you're expecting about final boss. :]Hmmm, i have to go to the Uldu one more time soon... ;P
Blood-Queen Lana'thel was my favorite, because it was fun (and i like vampires ><)
