The Halazzi tactic states that "DPS should switch to the Spirit of the Lynx", as far as I know, there is no point with doing so, since the health isnt't linked with the boss, and it will despawn anyway.
In the Light Theme here, I can't see the names of the mobs I underlined in these two lines:Warlord of the Amani rewards the player with a choice of three epics for killing Daakara. The Hex Lord's Fetish rewards players with a choice of three epics for killing Hex Lord Malacrass as well as Tattered HexclothETA: I know the difference between underline and italics, I really do!ETA2: Okay, make that any name highlighted in white. :(
This is by far the best guide I have seen on this site.. GOOD JOB !
I’d like to make a few suggestions for this guide. For Zul’Gurub
Have to thank you guys for this guide again. Saved me in a pug in ZA.
I guess I just had great luck I have run the new instances and completed my 7 for the week, now it's time to try and get a few raids in to cap my valor for the week. I guess my only thing is I will explain the fight mechanics a few times, if you are not grasping them or doing the opposite of what I told you about the fight then you have to go. If you are not getting into the deadzone on Jin'do over and over and taking massive damage then you need to get kicked. Go back to regular heroics if you don't want to listen and avoid taking excessive damage.
Domh--thanks for the expanded strats. Some of the tips can be gleaned from the spell descriptions (Akil'zon's Static Charge having an AOE component, Energy Storm damaging the caster, for example) but I added and clarified a few things that may confuse new players. Thanks again!
Just a tip for Halazzi, the Water Totems he uses can also be used by your party. So the tank can move it out of it then healer steps in it. Pretty much the healer will have infinite mana and be able to spam all the big heals they want. (Was very fun casting healing surge repeatedly just cuz I could :D) It significantly simplifies the encounter. Normally tank moved the boss out and dps killed the totem which is just a waste of time when the boss can easily be moved around the room and not stand in the healing totems. I suppose that would be how you do the achieve too in that the infinite mana would make you be able to heal through the corrupted lightening totem. (It says in the guide currently you can move him out of it but it doesn't make note that party members can use it for heals/mana) Come to think of it it would also be cool to see an arcane mage just spam arcane blast over and over again with infinite mana in there........
Useful guide, helped me out whilst pugging the dungeons! Nice one!
I just wanted to state that in the description of the High Priest Venoxis encounter, it says "A Toxic Link will be also frequently used to link two random players to each other, however it seems to never affect the tank." This is not true about it not affecting the tank. It is completely random. I just ran it and we wiped because the link did affect the tank
It was probably a melee that got the link and rather than moving decided to sit on the tank and wipe them.
I thought I'd go ahead and post this here as I have done so now on all of the bosses pages for the Edge of Madness. The Archaeology skill required to summon the boss is only 225. Confirmed by being 224 and not being able to, solved an artifact and was 229 and able to. Blizzard likes to use increments of no less than 5 for their requirements. Enjoy getting the 225 archaeology to get some easy loot.
