Nothing to complain about here :) Great work all.The only thing I have to ask... why use a separate domain? What was wrong with using, say, news.wowhead.com instead?
Seems like a refreshing revamp of things! Lets see if you can further enhance our capabilities to research stuff, such as gear choices etc.
Beautiful work, guys. Glad to see the stuff we were working on together go up, and glad to see all the improvements you've made!
Kudos to you Team Wowhead! Yet another website that I can get addicted to and check obsessively. (Not a bad thing mind you)
I've had the same issue on some computers. On this one, it doesn't do that. When I use an XP with Firefox it does (sorry, don't know the exact version because I don't own the computer).
It looks nice and sleek, but the themes seem too different from the one used in the normal site. Plus, the option to go from the blog to the forums appears to be missing - maybe not that important, but I know when I visit and am not searching for something, I go to the blog first, then right to the forums.
So when can we expect the tie-in update to the Wowhead main site? Also, CAPTCHA while logged in (as a premium no-less)!
Looks good, but its way to big. I have to zoom out to even see the sidebar. Also, why not redesign the main site instead of creating a new site, i think it does need an update.
Curse you Wowhead... how many homepage tabs do you want on my browser? But really, very nice.+1 cookie (you do still accept cookies, no?)
I really liked it when it was all part of the Wowhead site. I had 1 site to browse, and kept within that site. Now it's a separate site which looks really different and not very "wowhead-y" if you ask me. But yeah for some reason websites always want to "evolve" and get new designs and whatnot even though it's entirely unnecessary. It worked fine the way it did, there was nothing wrong with this. This is just one of those internet phenomnomnom where changes are made for no reason other than to make changes. A shame.
Someone mentioned that whitelisting the new domain in noscript made it work for them. What domains do you have whitelisted, because whitelisting made it explode spectacularly for me, and now I can't fix it at least back to unusably broken but stable. Also, the repeated "you can use RSS or the forums" is kind of annoying for those of us having issues: the forums are messy and ugly if you're looking for a clean list of news, and learning to use and setting up an RSS feed for a single site is just plain silly. So for those of us that the site is broken for or really really hate the new design (while I'm of both camps, I can live with the hate. I look at website designs I hate for a job right now, I can cope with the wowhead blog being ugly), it's just frustrating. ...Also, I need to stop abusing parenthetical statements.
Oooh, very nice looking. Clean and simple too.+5 for Wowhead.
Not sure what's going on right now, but I can't get anywhere near the new site. I've tried in Firefox and Chrome, tried clicking links and typing in the url, and it all redirects to www.wowhead.comEdit: Oh yeah, version info... WinXP SP3Firefox 4.0Chrome 10.0.648.205
