Unfortunately, this will still happen:
I still think that they should make this completely random occurrence in the LFD tool. Especially with the daily heroics being combined into 7 a week, why not just have like a 15-20% chance to proc a Call to Arms buff that will reward the bag to all party members. This would encourage running chain heroics with the same group. I mean let's face it even with this Call to Arms as it is, how many tank/heals are still goin to queue for heroics after they get their 7 weekly heroics done?
I still don't see whats wrong with the Call to Arms feature awarding an extra 10 - 15 valor points upon killing the last boss.
I'm still not looking forward to tank alts in poor gear trying to run heroics... =__=
Making the satchel BoA just means that people with alts in greens and blues who cant tank or heal worth a damn are going to be trying to go as tank or healer. this isn't a benefit. this is a hindrance. every group is going to have more Tard-boxes in it, making the instance go slower, making the whole queue slow down with less capable tanks and healers available to tank or heal.Imo they should have made it soulbound. give tanks and healers a benefit. if ppl want to get the extra benefits, get a tank or heal offset and gear it.before i start any instance im going to have to start inspecting the CTA spec person to make sure there not incompetent.
I'd like to see them take any items (e.g. mounts and pets) out of the bag drop table that require a faction grind or something similar. RNG is RNG, I don't care if people get extra chances to get that random drop. You might get that on your first time in a dungeon or killing a green whelp or whatever. Or it might take you 3x as many kills as statistics and probability indicate. On the other hand, those items which required something other than farming mob kills, such as the tiny sporebat, shouldn't just be handed out randomly to people. Is it a low chance of happening? Sure, I bet it is. But that doesn't matter. I'm not one of those people who gets all upset when they do things like change the Frostsaber grind. I think that's great. They're just changing the entire playing field when they do things like that. This? Not so much. This is like going "well, everyone can play baseball to get a home run, but some people can just go to the batting cage, okay?". Even assuming all roles got a call-to-arms equally as often, it still wouldn't be right. If they did that, then it would be an interesting solution to a difficult problem, that while still feeling somewhat unfair, would not feel like a slap in the face.
This is a great change. I normally only run one heroic a day on my healer, IF that. Some days I haven't even logged in (well, I've been sick, so that's contributed). I have 2 level 85s with healer-specs. I can now run my alt-healer in heroics to gear up. IF there's a CTA and I get a bag, I will not have to worry about one of the mounts I've wished for on my main dropping. I can just mail the bag.Seriously, Blizzard listened to what the players want, and for some I know it's still not enough, because it will never be enough. It seems like most people are able to recognize this as a good attempt to fix things that are real problems:Extremely long queue times for DPS.Rewards dropping in the bag that some players might prefer go to a DPS main rather than a tank/heal alt.I hope the patch comes soon. I don't mean Blizzard-Soon (tm) but something more like, before the end of April.
Good idea..now the pure dps classes that don't want to play a tank or healer got any real reason to complain that they can't get the stuff because they play a certiant class.
"highly divided the player base". Honestly those comments, even on wowhead, are some of the funniest to read.I'm sure we'll see them again here. QQ, pure dps QQ
