PTR and live are two different things though. But my main statement is this: Now they just need to make it so you can send money cross-server. Nothing sucks more than starting on a new server with no gold. Only way currently is to shell out real cash to realm transfer a toon.
Oh my God, I can die now.
INB4 transfering cross realm is something like a 5 doller fee per item or mail. gotta make moar money blizz.
This is how they could do it.1. When you purchase an heirloom.. it generates a code that is stored in the same way your collector edition stuff is stored. No matter what server I create a character on, I always get an ingame mail with my two pets.2. There should be an ingame NPC in major city called 'family butler' and the codes should be used to populate his vendor list.
How many people actually have multiple WoW accounts under the same battle.net account, let alone multiple WoW accounts period? Enough to need this change? And the characters would still need to be on the same realm anyway....it really does smell like April Fools, guys.If it is true, one can hope that Ashelia is right and it's a step towards making cross-realm heirlooms possible.
Hell yeah! About time! Now I can utilize characters on realms I no longer regularly play on for something other than collecting virtual dust.
Well I can see the both accounts tied to the same Battle.Net account. This is more then likely to happen with a Parent/Child or Husband/Wife then with anything else.Blizzard made as all Kalu'ak and Wowhead gave use Tacohead.I don't think Blizzard would be that cruel to make something up like this and then Screan April Fool's. However I can see use becoming Murloc's for a day. (Also wondered what a Murloc Pally would look like)
are they going to be able to transfer across realms or is it just a name change?
Think it's more just cross bnet accounts for now, think they're still working out the kinks on cross-server mail.
Resubbing in 4.1 because of this, thanks Blizz! :D
i smell a rat
My Bioball is going to wreck Colossi with this now!
Or maybe they're just updating the current BoAs so that they can be shared between multiple accounts that are tied to a single Battle.net account. Making it so you don't have to purchase the same BoA for every individual account. Allowing them to be mailed, and possibly traded, between characters on separate accounts that are on the same Battle.net account. It might have nothing to do with mailing them from one server to another... might.
Wtf, we can send the item on our starcraft 2 account ? :)
So I read the article and I was like =DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD then I read the comments and the official patch notes and I was like DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD=. Send:Xrandomcharacter-Servername or just fricken copy my heirlooms and mail them to every one of my characters. Come on already Blizz. This isn't that goddamned difficult. Step up to the plate.
