WOOT! I can finally get 20% more experience on my Barbarian!I see what you did there.Holy crap.YES! Now I can start leveling alts on other realms!Highly doubtful that you can transfer it to other servers. More like you can transfer between multiple WoW accts on one Battle.neti just tried to send something to a diff server on ptr, it didnt work so you seem to be rightThe functionality may not be in place yet (for either case). It's pretty to simply add a tag to the item(s).
If this goes live...It will work to renew my lagging interest in the game. =pray=Edit: That's for cross server. If it's NOT cross server, it's useless for me and well.. back to the boredom.
OMG OMG OMG. This just made my day.
In before "April Fool's!"No, seriously, how has nobody said this yet?

Nice change :) I hope they'll do this for all tan items that were bind to account. Such as some of the Archeology items.
This better not be an early April Fool's joke. Because that would be down right cruel!

Because their April Fool's Announcements are never just changes to PTR, and we've still got two days to goWe're two days off.Because it's March 30th?Yes, I understand we're two days off. Hence, there has been no announcement about the heirlooms and no April Fool's joke.If they were going to use the heirloom transfer announcement as an April Fool's joke, they wouldn't have announced it yet (which they haven't) and it may well be on the PTR to provide "evidence" (which it is).Thank you for correcting my apparent misuse of a calendar, however.
I'm suprised nobody has mentioned this, but cross factions anyones? After having so many horde characters maybe I will consider leveling an alliance character if this is, infact, cross faction.
you can already trade them cross faction.....
They are already bind to server. (yes cross faction, been that way for a long time) Bind to battle.net account would make them finally and LITERALLY Bind to account. Which since people cant figure it out, means cross realm. If its bound to your b.net account then you can mail it where ever you want. Thats the entire point. Use your head guys come on now.
It amazes me how many people don't know you can already send heirlooms cross-faction on the same server if it's the only thing you send in mail.Anyway, I hope this means cross-server heirlooms, it wouldn't make much sense to enable bnet account-wide trading instead of cross-server, since people have been asking for the latter for a really long time.
Official Patch Notes update:Account Bound Items
I'd still FAR prefer more character slots on my existing realm.
For what it's worth, though I may be the harbinger of dream destruction in this case, I am saddened and long for cross-server heirlooms as well.
I'd still FAR prefer more character slots on my existing realm. That would indeed be nice...
