Sometimes things are hard to find in World of Warcraft. It's a common fact that things like the location of certain
have been the bane of WoW players existence for years. It was easy when Dalaran was our home, but Cataclysm just had to go and change that. Now they're scattered to the wind and if you're outside your faction's main capital city, all bets are off to where you might get your crafting done.
Luckily, the Wowhead staff implemented a quick update today that lets you find them in two different ways. Firstly, Wowhead now lists anvils and forges by their zone location when
you look them up
. Once you click on the anvil or forge and then the zone, a map will pop up with its location. Of course, we understand that looking up an object can be too much work. This is why you can also go to a zone instead and use the 'Show on Map' button to immediately have any existing anvil or forge be revealed on the zone map on its page. That's right, you don't even have to leave the page--try checking it out in either
to see the change in action.
There were also a couple of threads recently from our users regarding polling and Wowhead. We've decided to finally address them today. Polling, on the whole, is one of those issues that makes every staffer incredibly wary because polls can quickly degrade the quality of a community. Let's face it, they're fluff. You probably don't come here to see if you like Alliance or Horde better. Still, while they're fluff, they're
fluff. Every once in a while, it is cool to see if people prefer to heal or DPS.
So here's the deal: after much debate, we've added the option to create polls if you are a premium Wowhead user. This was a hard choice, because we don't want premium accounts to have way too many options over normal ones. In the end, however, we decided it's a relatively small change and it's best kept in a smaller group of users than open to the general public. That said, if we find the option to be abused, it will go away. Hopefully this is the only warning we'll have to issue. Nobody, except maybe Miyari, likes to play cop.
Ultimately, the staff is always looking for new ways to improve Wowhead. If you have any suggestions,

Any chance you could add mailboxes to the map too? Sometimes it takes a while to hunt them down.
^ This. Please.
