Ugh, some of the answers were fine but again Blizzard does the "Oh you think it's bad? Well we think it's perfect!"Whats wrong with that? It's their game and it's doing pretty well, so if they think it's fine I don't see why that is so bad?want to know why its bad, because they need to listen to the sane base of there community we ask for preety basic things, like the apperence tab, pvp/pve split, and things of that naturewhat do they saywell your stupid, thats what i feel from them, they need to listen, i remember during the rift beta, during beta 6 they made a change to pvp, where the guards became really hard to kill and you couldnt capture towns as a player, only npc's could, and they made this change because pve realms were to pve focused, so they worked hard and made a major change in beta 7 they made it so pvp realms were un affected by the change, due to community input.Another example is from guild wars, people used to complain every patch that when you ballanced for pve you imballanced for pvp, so they started working on a system that allowed them to make pvp versions of pve skills, so when your in pvp your rotations dont change much but the numbers and cast time and the durration are diffrent to ballance for pvp, of blizzard did it for hex can they not do it for other spells? That's good and all, but we're talking here about Blizzard, not AraneNet. It took Blizzard more than 10 years to make SC II, and who knows how long it takes till they release Diablo III. Don't expect them to immediately(?) respond to PVP/PVE balancing issues. By the time the next expansion goes live, they will have hopefully made some worthwhile changes.
And how is Guild Wars doing? last i played it had more balance issues than wow and was far more repetitive.
GW isn't even technically a MMORPG, so I dunno if comparing it to WoW is necessarily apt.
I really hope Blizzard doesn't screw up the BC and Northrend questing areas. I think they are good as they are: enough xp, great story lines and also a lot of difference between the zones.A lot of the old Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms questing areas where pretty messed up. I'm glad they changed that, but the way it is nowadays doesn't appeal to me neither. Everything is way to 'streamlined', almost every zone is one big phasing area. You are constantly going from camp to camp and at each camp you complete about 3-4 quests and then you go of to the next camp.I remember before cata, that when you went at lvl 12 to the Barrens and you reached Crossroads it was like: Here are 15 quests, have fun completing them all. So that was what you did and just by completing all the quests and not turning them in yet, made you ding about 3 levels and another 2 for when you turned them all in.I want those days back where a zone didn't contain 10 different phasing areas.I will definitly give up on questing in WoW when they turn the BC and Northrend questing areas into zones like you see in Kalimdor and EK.
GW isn't even technically a MMORPG, so I dunno if comparing it to WoW is necessarily apt.In this context I think a comparison is valid. The main difference between Guild Wars and WoW is that the open world is limited to the towns and doesn't really involve any combat. This isn't really a major factor when it comes to things like repetition and class balance, so comparing the two works in this case.
IMO this all sounds like a bunch of bs... The game is horrendously redundant. The only good place to lvl anymore is Outlands simply because the gear is nicer, the areas are nicer, and the quests are more enjoyable. It was nice that they had changed the quests and layout of the old world, but in doing so they made the game terribly linear. It's nice for people with low intelligence who are afraid of uniqueness which this game is becoming more and more like. I still can't believe ppl are constantly asking stupid questions in trade when wowhead could've figured them out in half the time.Honestly this game is nothing more than a cash cow and they know ppl won't leave because they feel they need to stay for friends and stupid crap like that. Face it this game will be the same forever because they honestly don't give a rats ass about you. All major corporations are the same. They have their little representitives come out and act caring to the people and for all we know they really do care. But when it comes time for the money it's whatever is cheapest and best in the short term. Why else was this expansion released with numerous bugs that still haven't been fixed? This game is not going to be intended for the original market but now for coddled children who are too stupid to read a tool tip or too lazy to read a paragraph. Oh yeah and for ppl anxious for D3... Don't get too excited. Every video I have seen it is NOTHING like the original two. Again created for the coddled generation. Honestly it looks like disney is a part of it ffs. Anyways this is the only msg I ever left on wowhead and couldn't careless if you downrate it. It's all true.
