I don't understand the point of this change. Why this obsession the new dev team has with homogenizing everything?
Comeon Wintersaber Trainers Feat of Strength!
It's to make the grind for a Faction-specific mount equal on both sides. Before, the Alliance had to grind to Exalted with the Wintersaber Trainers, while the Horde only had to do 3 quests and 20 dailies.
Why change it? Because mindless grinds are fun, right? They don't show that you're "skilled" or "dedicated" or something. They show that you have at least an hour of spare time every day.
Leveling the playing field between similarly purposed factions with one target in mind makes perfect sense. However, I think those that did the old-school grind for the Wintersaber should receive a Feat of Strength, if they don't already.
That cub is adorable.
My issue isn't the removal or reduction in the grind. My issue is that I understand neither the point of this particular change nor why the current dev team is obsessed with homogenizing everything. World of Warcraft atm has many issues wanting for developer attention. Why they would pour resources into redoing this chain but not upgrade or fix seasonal events or fix issues like phasing bugs or bugs in major gateway quests (such as the Twilight Highlands and Deepholme quests) makes no sense to me. No one is going to quit the game or really care that the Horde and Alliance have slightly different questlines or that an individual grind varies in difficulty on one side of the fence on the other. Homogenizing everything, however, does make the game much less worth playing.
i'm glad for this change actually. for those of us that cant farm the rep up in one day being able to do a few extra dailies to get the mount is a much smoother process compared to trying to get rep for exlated when horde don't have to.
I don't see why it needs to take 20 days! I did the raptor quest on one of my horde, and by the time I was done with the whole chain, I was like 10 levels higher and the dailies I had to do were all grey and gave me no experience at all. That and the fact that I had to keep running back to Un'Goro Crater to do the dailies - no where near a FP. True, you can fly there now, but still.
