Don't action trolls, action anyone who says Blizzard is capable of error or that the admin is being disingenuous. But if they actioned you, they would be actioning a troll. I could provide examples - but you couldn't see them past your ego if I did, so I won't bother.I think the greatest thing is that he's yet to be banned. As the biggest Tin-Foil hat QQer in existence, how can this hold true?
Whoa, Aestu vanished.
Whoa, Aestu vanished.Maybe I was wrong. Maybe he was finally banned. One can only hope.I'm not going to pretend he never made a good point (not in WoW General though... more stuff like Dungeons & Raids), but he was more trouble then he was worth.
Whoa, Aestu vanished. Now he can finally confirm his persecution complex.
World of Warcraft atm has many issues wanting for developer attention. Why they would pour resources into redoing this chain but not upgrade or fix seasonal events or fix issues like phasing bugs or bugs in major gateway quests (such as the Twilight Highlands and Deepholme quests) makes no sense to me.This a hundred times. So many broken things in the game right now, everything from classes/specs to the examples cited above need much more attention then some stupid Vanilla WoW mount grind.Tried to finish Twilight Highlands on my Alt, yeah gateway quest mob resets his health every time he does an ability. GG BLIZZARD. You make us follow these phased breadcrumb quest where you can't deviate a single iota then a major quest is broken half way through.
If you want to action me for saying it like it is, you'll have to explain why you didn't action Timaneous for his blatant and irrelevant insult on the previous page. Please indicate where in that post it identified to whom I directed this "insult"?
+1There was a time when you could argue that a set of of Nature's Wrath gear was a good poor man's tiered armor for a boomkin. Then it didn't matter that Wrath was Nature dmg and Starfire was Arcane. Resistances nearly disappeared. Instead of type-specific spellpower boosts, it was just "spellpower." Then "of healing" was the same as "of spellpower".This might seem unrelated, but it's the same sort of homogenization. Gear standardized. Rep runs standardize. Is it really wrong that the Alliance can get a crappy but pretty ground mount in a day and Horde can't? Dude, I farmed frostsabers for weeks for leather in vanilla and never even saw the guy on top of the rock. If 80% of the Alliance don't know he's there, what percent of the Horde care?I wonder what percent of WoWers depend on WoWhead.com and similar, outside of the game, help sites? Doesn't anyone play casually? Why pander to either type of player to the point that the whole game is watered down? Does "of Nature's Wrath" or grinding rep really kill the game?If anything, they should put the rep right back like it was in vanilla and make it a serious, long-term grind that only the truly crazy complete.
Picking up meat is boring, extremely boring. I just did it 6 times and I'm already bored of it. I actually enjoyed the Horde version to this, because I thought it was cute to raise my own little venomhide. I even noticed him growing in size over a period of days.
If they are going to give the Wintersaber away, Then I think they should make the originals Account bound, so we can have them on all our toons. That grind was intense and took forever. I completed it Mount Achievement the hard way, and darn it, that means something. LOL

I completed it Mount Achievement the hard way, and darn it, that means something. LOLAs has been pointed out, depending on exactly WHEN you did your rep grind, it could be argued that the Horde grind (and, the new Alliance version) are just as, or more, "difficult". I agree, grinding rep of any kind can be mind numbing, but so can doing a daily 20 times in a distant zone. So far, I have only completed the Raptor grind on one toon, and that was my druid. I just couldn't stand the thought of riding a Kodo around for any longer than I had to. ( I swear they are moving slower) <<I know...its just visual perception....But it does become a real pain in the rear to travel to Tanaris or Un'Goro every day to do a daily.
this gonna be a feat of strength still?
this gonna be a feat of strength still?Magic 8 ball is saying good chance.
That cub is adorable.QFTAlso, while I dislike this change (my own Frostsaber took a good bit of effort at 60), I can see how they want to balance out both sides. I disagree with the change and think that some mounts should indeed require grinds, but i suppose the grind at 85 isn't time-consuming at all anymore. Oh well.
I think the only reason people are going to be grinding for this mount is for the achievement and just to show-off in SW, etc. Most people will be riding dragons and such, people won't be using this one that often...unless it can fly.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people WHINE over the simplest of things. I think it's pretty cool to pay homage to someone.. just enjoy the game and quit complaining over things that ARE going to be enjoyable for others. Im glad that Blizz pays attention to little details and recognizes players, I think it's great. I think those that complain about it are a little jealous its not them.
There is another quest.. Hunting Practice where you take the cub to snow mounds and let him pounce on hares.
I'm glad I got my mount grind finished a couple of weeks ago. The little cub companion pet looks so cute running behind the purple kitty mount!
Serious sad face. I swear I was only ~3,000 rep away from it the old way, but took a break from WoW and Wowhead, and missed the change... Booo.Oh well, 20 more days. Wonder if the Mt. Hyjal corehound I'm still toting around will accidentally kill the poor little cub or not?
I'm actually happy about this change. I'd been wanting to get this mount for some time, but didn't want to spend the time grinding the same quest over and over for several hours each day, even if you could get all the rep you needed in a day. Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of time to be playing the game all day. Hell, there are some days I can't play due to my schedule. But this change makes it a guarantee, at least for me, that I can spend an hour or less each, or almost each, evening before bed doing the dailies, and in 20 days, being rewarded with the mount.I know some think it's become trivial, but for me and my schedule, this works. So, happy me. =)If you plan on spending an hour a day for 20 days, you could easily have spent an hour a day for 8 days on the old rep grind to get to exalted...
Agree with Kvasi.Old model could consume a bit more time, but you could choose when you want to spend that time. No one was forcing you to do it all at once (what many people were QQing about and what is the most common "reason" why they welcome this change). Now you have to do daily every day. Old version allowed you to say "I´m not in the mood of doing mount rep today" and you didn´t lose any time. Also, this forces you to travel to Winterspring and do the daily every time you feel like doing something for your mount. Old model allowed you to spend anywhere from 10 minutes to 10 hours, based on your current mood and time available.I liked the old model more, much more, but I´m not going to QQ. (I would be going to if mount was gone completelly :P)
