Maybe being more specific on times available (although that might be difficult to implement). For example, if I can Raid on Tuesday and Thursday, maybe I can match with a Guild that Raids on Tuesday and Friday.Cheers.
I expected this feature to happen but in all honesty I think it's a cruel joke. All it does is encourage people to get in a guild and get in one quick. But the problem with that is that if you switch guilds you lose all your guild rep.I could not in good conscious recommend to anyone that they use such a tool. Getting the right guild is something you have to do from the beginning. You can't guild hop. So you have to dig far wider and deeper than anything this tool would allow you to do before you join a guild.Edit: BTW, I thought in was interesting that when Blizzard did their guild survey last month only 3% of respondents said they were currently looking for a new guild.
It's an awesome tool that I cannot wait to get working in my guild. I would like to see some screenies of the Guild Master side of things though. If someone clicked on a guild would they be able to see something like a note? Would help for those of us in guilds that require app submissions.
Uh.Wow. Didn't see that coming. (Lol)
Missing option: " PvE PvP"I'm looking for a new guild, but I want a PvP-oriented guild, not some guild that raids at some time 'cause that's not what I'm looking for.
This is a good idea to be implemented. However, I do see this as need a lot more work than what I currently see in the screen shots.A function that would help would be to review your play time as like a statement for the month, and somehow forward that as part of your application. This is a lot of personal info to forward, so perhaps a field to enter play times /hours played per day of the week.Guild applications are the best way to weed out and filter people from joining your ranks. They are extremely complex and varied however. And I don't see how this would be to substitute for that. At best this will just be a way to market and advertise to only those who are interested.Perhaps also a display/tracking of previous guilds belonging to. They try to stop guild hoppers with the intro of guild rep, but then do this to foster a quicker in and hot into guilds? Don't mean to be so negative. I think its a great idea, just not sure yet on the implementation.
They need to add an RP option somewhere, Blizzard HAS implemented RP servers. and people do use them for that.
For those of you wanting all of these options, the more options you add the more it takes to run it.The comments section can easily fix most of your problems. If they put a million options it's gonna take up more data and probably turn people off from using it.
For AT, we have a very set list of requirements as far as behaviour, age, character naming as well as determine the quality of a player by the depth of their application. On top of this, we have several officers that need a collaboration to determine eligibility. The Looking For Guild won't be particularly useful for us if we can't have a good barometer on who we let into the fold.
Speaking of the Raid Finder tool......I really wish Blizz would get on making that better. Starting with making it easy to find so people actually know it exists, of course. Would love to be able to PUG older content (would never PUG the new stuff) without having to spam chat or listen to people talk crap about the raid you wanna wanna do.
EQ2 had a great LFG system for guilds to advertise themselves. I'm hoping for less of a players searching for guilds concept and more guilds advertising with the ability to have a lot of information about themselves.
I wonder if it's going to be like the old LFG channel or Trade spam. Any guild worthing being in or any person worth having in your guild is not going to be found in channels.Any decent play knows that they need to go to their realm official forums to find a good guild.
Look's like a fun and great new addition if it gets added, let's hope in the future this brings more people to the guilds and instead of forcing them to be shy and pathetic one players in a MMORPG.Please, Blizz come on bring it on! ^_ ^
