I would say this was a nerf to moonkin, but no mooonkin would ever stack mastery anyway so meh.Huh? this has nothing to do with the mastery. It is the ´flat damage´ bonus that you get just for speccing into balance. Same with the shadow priest nerf.Just to sum up the moonkin change. This is a flat 5% nerf to all damage... because all our damage is arcane or nature. We were on the high side of the damage charts though, so I´m not that worried about it.I have a fairly well geared balance druid and my damage was similar to a mage friend of mine in the same guild who's still in greens. If anything needs nerfing it's fire! How's a green geared fire mage doing as much if not more than a mixed epic/heroic geared anything not unbalanced?I´m not going to comment on anecdotal evidence ( ie. your friend the fire mage vs you) because there are just too many things that can cause things to appear bad. But overall on the big websites that collect large amounts of data on a large number of fights, moonkin are in the upper half of DPS.While this looks like a 5% flat nerf to all damage, it also is coming with a 33% buff to our mastery which just went through. My guess is the devs are fairly happy with our overall damage, but are just trying to shift more of it to our mastery stat. Before this patch, pretty much every website would tell you that mastery was the worst stat to put on your gear. After all this is said and done, if you put some more mastery back on your gear, your DPS will probably end up exactly the same. The devs do this frequently... they like the overall DPS of a spec, but just don´t like how it is being achieved, so they will change two spells (they did this early on with hunters) or they will nerf a spell and buff a talent etc.The devs just don´t want every moonkin to say ´ok, reforge all the mastery you can into haste´.
Yes the DK got hit pretty good with the nerf bat however this comment chain started by m4rci84 was put in the incorrect section, noob should have put it under the last patch 4.0.6 comment thread not this hotfix which only effects dk's death advance. All this QQing over patches and hotfixes would all stop if all you pvper's in namby pamby land would quit QQing over getting owned by the class you aren't playing! All the pve/raiders never complain about us being OP during dungeon runs and questing! I really wish that Blizz would buff the other classes instead of nerfing the OP ones.Thats right, maybe i posted to wrong place, but still... Blizz gives out a patch and then the next day they hotfixing it.. Why? Doesnt test enugh? Or what? Im just wondering.Sorry 4 bad english :)No, more than likely it is a time delay between the developers and the coders. The developers have 8 things they want to do with a class, but maybe something didn´t get coded and tested in time, so it goes out in the next patch. Its a choice Blizzard has to make. Do you let everything be completely unbalanced for a month until all 8 things are done and tested and then release 8 together, or do you gradually release patches that gradually implement the 8 things as the coders finish them up.It really gets confusing (like with feral druids mangle) because a lot of these changes were already live and now we are just seeing tooltip updates. There is just a lot of delays and confusion because it goes from the Devs designing it, to the coders adding it to the game, and then some of those are applied server side, others have to wait a long time for client patches.... and even worse, some get done server side, but the tooltips don´t get updated for a month afterwards... so sites like MMO champion pick up a ´change´ that isn´t really a change at all.The moral of the story, Blizzard is on top of this and no classes are being nerfed into uselessness. The difference in DPS between all the specs is very close across a large number of boss fights... so you are better off playing and understanding your favorite spec and getting the most you can out of it rather than jumping on the FOTM spec which you won´t understand as well.
Blizz wtf r u doing? Changes unholy dks day after day? We got enugh nerf...this is maybe the smallest nerf I've ever seen, don't complain too much :pTotally untrue, this patch was a 3K DPS nerf for raiding geared deathknights, I got a massive dps nerf for my unholy pve spec which aint coming back, just a list so we get it right.Halryn was referring to the nerf to Death's Advance, not to the patch. And to be fair, a 3k DPS nerf when you're pulling that much more dps than most classes was necessary. It's not the end of the world.
Nowhere in the tooltip (for Beacon of Light) it is stated that it should work only on direct heals. Casting a heal it says and LoD can be assumed to be a casted heal. So, Blizzard fails. I guess some PvP-er cried "OMG! LoD is OP! Nerfnao!11".Added context to the quoted post in parenthesesTo be fair, holy paladins were becoming overpowered. The question to me isn't whether or not the nerf was justified, but whether or not the nerf was too heavy-handed. Given Blizzard's track record... yeah.
SPriest nerf was warranted.
Oh, us shadow priests totally deserved that nerf, that doesn't mean I have to like it. :(
SPriest nerf was warranted."High five, low five and elbow that!" Sick of SPriest gangs in TB PvP. that's all they send, 4+ shadow priests and 1 or 2 holydins (or 1 holydin, resto shaman) pwning 15 defenders. totally deserve the nerf. ...............Wait... I play a shadow priest! o.O
Under certain conditions after queuing for Battlegrounds, players were still able to enter the Dungeon Finder queue. While this made it appear as though players were not actually queued properly for Battlegrounds, that wasn't the case. This issue has been fixed so that players cannot queue for both Battlegrounds and via the Dungeon Finder under these select circumstances.to bad they didnt fix the going over 15 mins past your average wait time queue

How's a green geared fire mage doing as much if not more than a mixed epic/heroic geared anything not unbalanced?I'm in the same boat, fairly well geared balance druid, and last night I ran normal Blackrock Caverns and had a level 82 mage still in greens being fairly competitive with my overall DPS. What gives, Blizz?

One thing that I'd really like to see added is this :In addition to the ignoring people cross server, and with its associated benefit of never queue'ing with that person again, we really need a larger ignore list. I've met so many people in the lfg queue that I'd really like to be removed from the gene pool. Also, and more likely, is the addition of being able to add friends from cross server, with the added benefit that if that person is online, and queue'd, then I'd automatically be placed in that group. That way, if I meet (I know, the unicorn of LFG) someone that knows how to press their buttons and isn't a tool, I can play with them again. These two changes would functionally increase the value of random LFG in a way that strikes the core of the issue : too many bads. I've also posted this idea on the blizzard forums, so if you like it, please also go add it to the forums so that they might see it. Thanks for your time.
Dang it, I enjoyed playing Boomkin. What's next, a Hunter's nerf too? Will they scale down the awesomeness of Aimed Shot?I knew Blizzard is after me personally.
I think I may leave Light of Dawn out of my PvE build now. I was only using it for the Beacon transfers anyway.

I think I may leave Light of Dawn out of my PvE build now. I was only using it for the Beacon transfers anyway. This is exactly why Blizz changed it. I don't think they ever intended it to take the place of WoG, which it did because of BoL. Of course, this makes LoD nearly useless, so I hope they do buff it in some way.
I wish there would be a change to the Tree of Life. Don't think that it is long enough. Or they could just do away with the 25 seconds you have to work with you use it.
