Could someone, please, enlighten me, what is "real life threats"?-Imma gonna cut yo, boy! I know wer u live!-Ok ok I'll give you Chaos Orb, please dont kill me...Like that? Sounds like complete nonsence! How can complete stranger try and threat me? He dont even know the COUNTRY where I live, nevermind city or address... Pfff...
Except in the case of feral druids, where every expansion you make sure we are not allowed to compete longer than a few weeks.I don't want this to become about each individual class, rofl rofl rofl rofl.I have a feeling that Blizzard is going to realize they nerfed too hard (again). I wish they would listen to the math and logic of, idk, maybe the best Feral Druid players in the world? If they're outraged, I'd say you're doing it wrong.
How can complete stranger try and threat me? He dont even know the COUNTRY where I live, nevermind city or address... Pfff...I think it's rather naive to think that you're completely anonymous on the Internet, now that its influence has spread so wide and contains so much of your personal info. It's frightening to see how much you can learn about a person just by doing some searches, and if there's someone with true ill will towards you then I can imagine them checking out your FaceBook or whatever.. granted, travelling to a different country would be quite a bit of effort for something like this, but I've heard cases in my own country of guys taking the train just to seek out someone who flirted with their girl or whatever. I know that in my situation, a determined person with the intention to hurt me could figure out in what city I live, to what university I go, and what student society I'm a member of. That's getting pretty damn close for a 'stranger who doesn't know you'.If Blizzard announces this, then you can bet there's a reason - probably they've had reports of this happening to people. Threats can cause you to feel insecure and unsafe in-game, not to mention that it's a misdemeanour; Blizz just wants to prevent this from spreading further on their turf.
PvP is not balanced around 1vs1.Oh god...even Blizzard is doing it.(Joking aside...)
Notice how Nethaera didn't once mention the specific class that was being brought up as an issue: mage. Instead, all we got was a slew of esoteric ramblings about PvP meta-philosophy. Typical :P
In regards to real-life threats:Remember that guy in France (I think) who stabbed someone for killing his avatar in an online gaming match? You really think he's the only person who's carried out such violence based on a video game?
