I'm actually pretty content with the holy pala nerf. As long as they keep Divine Plea regenerating more over less time, 10% mana cost increase is fine with me. Holy palas have a crapton of regen these days, and no matter how people QQ, I still tend to top healing meters in most Cata encounters. Though it still beats me why Crusader Aura should not get affected by Aura Mastery.Everything else - meh, okay.
I think the holy paladin nerf is a good start, but not quite enough. I've been playing multiple healers, and my paladin still feels pretty OP - more than 10% mana cost will fix. They just have so many "I win" buttons and so much mana-free healing. If they increased some cooldowns (holy shock, for example), that would bring them in line with the other specs, IMO.Looking forward to having something to do with all those extra JP.
I just started healing normal CATA dungeons as a Holy Paladin and I'm not too sure the nerfs are warranted. I'm having a f-n tough time trying to get everyone topped off during boss encounters. Of course it's probably gear issues and people standing in fire but still, I'm not liking my 1.5 sec "fast" spam heal and even then I gotta watch my mana usage. I have to use every trick in my book to insure we don't wipe. But as I said it's probably just gear issues and it'll just get easier later on... at least I hope so.
Kinda happy about the 85 dungeon change. I've lately been leveling a priest to 85, and it's nice to know it won't be quite so grindy for my second 85. :)
Off hand int enchant nerf is a pretty big deal. Down to 40 from 100, wow.
On the point of Justice Points. Anyone know why there aren't any 346 Trinkets you can buy with JPs? That's a gap that extra JPs could fill. There were 264 Trinkets you could buy in WOLK, so why the cut off?Cheers.
I just wonder if the added points isn't as much about "catering to casuals"...Queue times have been insane to look at...on 3 different characters I regularly play...Hunter - DPS - ~37 minutes per heroic/regularDruid - Resto - ~3 minutes per heroic/regularDK - Tank - ~instant per heroic/regularNow this isn't about feeling sorry for the dps, but when healers and tanks can finish 2 dungeons for every 1 that a dps does, it gets to be a very slow grind for a dps to gear up. So much to the point of not even enjoying playing my hunter...But on the flip side, tank and healers will SERIOUSLY be able to gear up quickly now...yikes...
Healing Rain now has a 40-yard radius, up from 30, to be consistent with other shaman heals.I hope they mean range and not radius. But a 40-yard radius AoE heal would but fun :)It has to be a typo. It can't be a 40 yrd radius because that would give an AoE heal with an 80 yrd diameter, and that would fill some entire boss rooms. The part, "to be consistent with other shaman heals," pretty much implies that it's range, since that's the only mechanic that the other spells share.
Players no longer need to discover Cataclysm dungeon entrances in order to access them via the Dungeon Finder. That's alright. It was getting to be a pain to have to do BRC over and over because no one discovered TotT.Not so thrilled about this. The whole point of it was so that people know where the entrance was when they died (which was a prevalent issue with the ICC 5 mans for a long time). Removing it seems odd to me.While I agree wholeheartedly, stuff like the Throne of the Tide's entrance (and ugh Stonecore) being quite difficult to reach made them a dungeon not worth going to while leveling up (and you don't need to discover entrances for Heroic versions of the dungeons, btw)Honestly I hate TotT, but being the completest that I am I still went out of my way to discover the portal as I've been leveling up my alts. My druid just flight formed until she was over the whirlpool then aquatic formed (slowly) down. Warlock and priest both quested through Vashj'ir long enough to get the seahorse then rode hard to get there. But still, while the reason was supposedly so people would know how to get back there from the graveyard... they put the graveyards RIGHT OUTSIDE most of the instances. The only one that's remotely "far away" is BRC, and the quest to discover that one still doesn't really give you a clue how to get there inside Blackrock Mountain.
OK, so now about those frigging wands...Seriously, I've been grinding HCs for the last n days, to no avail. So I still have to stick with the lev. 316 wand I bought in AH one full month ago.Either I've been particularly unlucky, or there's definitely too few decent wands (only 2 at the moment for a DPS: Corla's Baton and Cookie's Stirring Rod ).Or maybe both things.I am still using green level 318 legplates from the Twilight Highlands intro chain. Because there is exactly ONE set of blue DPS legplates that drop in heroics. And they are from an endboss your average Random PUG will never reach because Randoms are a horrid nightmare of incompetence.I have an agility ranged slot because the only potential strength-dps gun is a raid trash drop that sells for 40k on the Auction House, and is also needed by tanks due to overlapping stat requirements."Only" having two options for a slot seems pretty good to me.

I have to use every trick in my book to insure we don't wipe. But as I said it's probably just gear issues and it'll just get easier later on... at least I hope so.The thing about healing is cata is that you have to remember two things:1) A dps at 30% health still does 100% damage, a dead tank generates 0 threat. Don't top off DPS unless you have too.2) I know it sucks, but if someone stands in the fire and won't move, let them die. Ideally they'll learn, or you can use it to get them kicked. But the fact is if you watch your procs, don't spam Flash of Light, and use your free heals, you should almost never run out of mana unless its a gimmicky fight (like Baron Ashbury >_<)

The only one that's remotely "far away" is BRC, and the quest to discover that one still doesn't really give you a clue how to get there inside Blackrock Mountain. So true.
What do you guys think? You already answered earlier:Yeah, I get it, it makes things easier but c'mon, get real - it wasn't exactly some huge challenge or marvelous feat in the first place.Seriously... It's a BUSINESS. You can't do things towards the elitist, egocentric, advanced content minority. Things must be done towards the profit generating, paying majority. It was funny to see threads with 20 people complaining for each one saying that they should quit the game if they don't like.Yeah, like that's the desire of a CEO: have a super-challenge game that make 20 guys quit, for each super-satisfied costumer. Anyway, I still feel kind of uncomfortable, because Developers don't concentrate in which the community been commenting since 4.0.1: The philosophy of balancing everything in endgame, and AFTER worrying about things that lead to the balanced content, make in fact everything broken. That's a good philosophy for stuff make in internal builds, but Blizzard should NEVER, EVER, let the work of balancing thing prior the fully 85 epic geared player hit even the PTR. It's like we are paying to play a beta until we get the Cataclysmically Epic.
Off hand int enchant nerf is a pretty big deal. Down to 40 from 100, wow. That WILL hurt. ouch!

And they are from an endboss your average Random PUG will never reach because Randoms are a horrid nightmare of incompetence. "Only" having two options for a slot seems pretty good to me.I never played a warrior so don't know how to reply to your argument. Yet, after the nth day in hell (yes, yesterday I went through them dungeons once more, with no result), I can only say that two wrongs don't make a right: you are even less "fortunate" then I've been? I have twice the options than you have? Well, they're both tiny.Go tell my ranged slot, hosting a lev. 316 item with no option left to me other then keeping on grinding and grinding again, unitl the Gods of Fate up there decide you're in the list to receive their blessing. And we're not even speaking of a BiS lev. 359 / 372 item....Grinding in a perfect Korean-copycat-mmorpg style to get a medium-level item. Amazing, ainnit? What's more, as I already stressed elsewhere, you can't even buy one, because the lev. 346 BoE wand that should be there, Wand of Dark Worship, simply IT'S NOT into the game (hope they fix this thing, at least).I hope this isn't simplistically dismissed as a "whine", as I only stated facts.EDIT: typos.
By acquiring JPs in excess over the cap, that are therefore earned but not accounted. Is this a waste or what?Especially if you think that you are using them all in the (not-so-near?) future, once patch 4.1 is out.So, I know Blizz guys want a cap to JP to keep people from grinding JPs to infinite, but they should also think of people wasting JPs they are earning: they could set a higher cap (5k?), and at the same time think of a possible use of the JPs in excess (like converting them in money, or such).I think thats quite a good idea converting JP into cash or something... Been capped at 4k JP 2 weeks into cata, and I've gotten all the BoAs I wanted back in WotLK...I just read a blue post (http://www.wowhead.com/bluetracker?topic=1921695851#19653800366), looks like they're nearly-ignoring the issue: 2000 JPs for 20 Elementium Ore... they must be kidding us (or should I say "mocking"...?).
Noooo now my alts can potentially get all the sh1tty instances as the daily heroic >:(
Stop whining about the JP cap, because since you can't use your JP for anything, you're not wasting them. If you want to accumulate a huge amount of JP so you can just buy all the next-tier gear in the next content patch you're out of luck: that's exactly why the cap exists. And there actually are ways to convert your JP into cash, you not directly. You'll have to make an educated decision about how you do it. I believe currently the best way is to buy Wotlk gems, cut them into something and vendor those. If you're lazy, you can still just keep buying the dagger and vendoring it.But why would you want to convert JP into money anyway? JP is a currency for buying gear, money is a trade currency. If you have all the gear you can buy from JP, they become useless to you and you shouldn't worry about it.In any case, why is it such a problem you can't get anything for you JP? I believe it's just a false feeling of unjust.
Noooo now my alts can potentially get all the sh1tty instances as the daily heroic >:(Uh. You didn't even need to discover the entrances to do Heroics iirc.
Noooo now my alts can potentially get all the sh1tty instances as the daily heroic >:(Uh. You didn't even need to discover the entrances to do Heroics iirc.Because you had already found the entrances for the regular dungeons.
