An interesting read. I'm surprised he actually gave some advice, considering his general ramblings on the forums.(Even if some or all of it is just repeated stuff)
Heroics now are awesome. Challenging but not impossible. Admittedly I've not tried to PuG them; I just run with guildies. Not all of them are amazing players; we wipe to stupid mistakes, and as the healer I've had to inform DPS more than once that if they don't avoid damage that CAN be avoided they're probably going to die, but I have fun in heroics. They're like 5 man raids vs. zergfests now.

It's unreasonable. He says he wants it like a puzzle- but that's not the chief complaint. The chief complaint is that everything hits too hard if you under gear it. It is unreasonable that I cannot use the LFG and be able to be successful if I and at least 2 other people know the fight. They've brought back that classic feel, but unfortunately that means they brought back endless grinding for rewards that don't match the effort.Guilds are a requirement for success, and yes that is part the M of MMO, but no one but me is paying the subscription to participate and that should guarantee me a worthwhile experience alone. Having to play more than I want to, and having to adhere to an organization outside of my subscription i.e. a guild in order to complete the basic gameplay is unreasonable.

What he's failing to recognize is that this difficulty is making the Dungeon Finder almost useless and forcing us back to gear-checked premade groups again.He's right that you can't AoE tank everything, the group needs to play smarter, the healer needs to watch mana and everyone has to watch where they stand, etc.But the outcome of trying to do random Heroics through the Dungeon Finder because of the incredible difficulty is that my Paladin tank (with an item level of 339, well above the required score) ends up in groups with people who aren't used to that and we wipe, wipe, wipe over and over again.I've managed to get through Deadmines and Grim Batol Heroics, up to the final bosses and then never finished. The groups I was assigned were simply incapable of handling the strategy and toughness.What he's also forgetting is that WotLK Heroics used to be difficult for us! I remember the wipes again and again on Loken before we figured out the strategy and even then it was difficult. It wasn't until players had overgeared that healers confidently said "Just keep going I'll heal through Lightning Nova" and the encounter became trivial.It feels like the difficulty in Cataclysm Heroics is tuned for people who have already attained the gear and experience you get from running Cataclysm Heroics and that's bad design.Make them a bit easier now. If you want, make them this hard later so the challenge is still there.
I feel sorry for Blizzards Lead Designers.People say they want a return to BC Heroics, where they were challenging for months and that WotLK was too boring.Now these same people are moaning that Cata is too 'hard' and that because they aren't raiding after one month, like WotLK, they aren't having fun anymore and want a return to WotLK style zerg-fest.What, honestly, are they going to do?The Dungeon Finder and healers quitting or re-rolling is interesting, but the thing with BC was the player base was a lot more tolerant and generally friendlier. If someone in a Heroic was a %^&*!@, you could tell Trade channel and they would blacklist them. Now, what you get is intolerant people who think the Internet is a place to act hard, and want everything handed to them on a plate. It also means that these people can't get blacklisted, as people play on different servers and if you go to their server and tell the GM, they just laugh at you for going to the bother to get someone into trouble.Edit: This isn't everyone, I understand and know that, but you have to say to yourself, did I prefer BC Heroics where people were friendly and you had the chance to make new friends on your server, or the Dungeon Finder with a high chance of failure?

Any of you guys remember when Molten Core took upwards of 8 months or so to finally down Rag and actually be considered "farm" status? WOTLK spoiled so many people. None of them know what it was to work for their gear. Now, it's closer to what it was, and I do a happy dance when I go into an H dungeon.
Guild groups, not bad.PuG's, don't even bother, way too many idiots.Dungeon Finder is useless, because not enough people know how to play properly and know their roles and abilities. I shouldn't have to tell classes how they can use crowd control. It's annoying and pathetic.

Is that hard to learn the fights in dungeons?They are pretty hard but that`s the beauty of it.Is a major challenge.Is a chance to re-learn your class.No more a dps race in dungeons or whatever.Is about coordonation, moving from aoe, stop braking cc, DO some cc and not on a random mob and so on.As a holy paladin, at the begining i wanted to quit, to go prot or retri.Was to hard for me to heal.But in time i`ve got new gear, new enchants, new gems,i`ve learned to manage my mana and so on.I`ve been in alot of pugs.I`ve seen good players and bad players.Some of them where for the first time in that dungeon.We wiped, we didn`t care about the repair bills.Others just quit after first wipe.Kids, just learn how to play and and will be easy, for you and for others.Don`t nerf the dungeons, but buff them.They are prefect as they are now.If u wanna do something, add more dungeons.
This was a very good read. Some claim that Grim Batol HC is one of the harder heroic mode dungeons in cataclysm, I kind of agree, but in my opinion it's actually one of the coolest too.Grim Batol was actually the first HC mode instance I entered after getting 329 ilevel. Had a few wipes here and there, most of them on Forgemaster Throngus x]... I don't think we wiped on trash even once, did a good job ccing( me as shaman and my friend as mage ). We had a lock in our group too, but Banish was barely used.So.. Please don't nerf heroics cause they are NOT too hard.
