It was fun while it lasted.I BLAME SWIFTY!
Goddammit, if you're going to give us a broken BG that gives absolute control to the defenders then at least give them a reason to lose until you fix it... Sure 1800 was over the top, but I'd honestly prefer they keep win trading for now. Because on my server at least I can kiss my dailies and BH goodbye once again.
Just tossing ideas.... What if, instead of destroying the towers to gain more time, they put siege guns on the towers? So, if you control a tower, you can do semi-accurate AOE attacks on the nodes? Or, a workshop that puts out siege tanks with decent AOE. Something to break up the zerg effect. Any other ideas?
There are only 2 options for TB as it is now:1. Reward for winning will be enough to make owners not defend, win-trading.2. The reward wont be good enough and it will be exactly as before the "1800 hotfix".
Make the damn Towers and sieges Matter. As it is the Sieges are a nuisance to blow, and the towers just stupid time-wasters, as people will only zerg-protect the bases for longer. The towers can either:1- Make the bases needed to be conquered for for the attacking 0.35 shorter. That way with 3 towers down you need only 2 bases (1.95), or...2- Make the meter of the bases lean faster to the faction with most towers (down for attackers, up for defenders).Sieges can start to be able to be sabotaged, effects can be:1- They are unable to attack for some time, effectively giving time to defenders defend the towers, since they will last longer, or...2- They lose armor being able to be damaged more for some time, making defenders change more often between defending towers and bases, and attacker attacking bases and deploying sieges at towers. There is a plethora of good ideas that Blizzard could have put in sieges and towers, but they chose to ignore and expect it to fix itself alone. Well, those things don't happen, Blard.
lol sobad is just that , and cutting the honor points didn't fix anything. the horde had held it since launch. the only way allies had gotten it was win switching. changing the values is just blizz nerfing points not fixing a problem. i never used to miss a w/g now if i bother i cant even get in. both are essentialy ruined. i don't bother with either right now, just not worth it. they re so busy ruining our toons ,they don't have time to fix this broken expansion. anything that needs to update you 3 times a day is broken period. they should have kept it in house till they had it right instead of rushing it out the door to get christmas sales . nothing but greed , but we should be used to this from blizz by now. watch the next thing that will happen is they will take those points for win switching away just like they did the guilds. the more of this i endure the less i wanna play, i mean it blizz !
Why was honor reduced to 360?BECAUSE WHEN YOU RUN ONTO THE BRIDGE, YOU DO A 360 AND COLLECT YOUR HONOR!
You've got to be kidding me. Blizzard didn't foresee the win trading? The ENTIRE game population knows how bad Tol Barad is built, how it's pretty much impossible to attack, has the dumbest capping mechanics ever seen and was obviously never actually tested during beta, of COURSE the win trading was going to happen! Posts popped up on realm forums the minute the change was announced. Wow.Tol Barad needs a complete overhaul. Everyone who's ever stepped foot in that zone knows it. How it made it live is a question we'll be asking for the entire expansion. Blizzard didn't see the win trading coming? Holy crap, who is in charge over there these days? With the reversal of the 1800, we'll now be back to one faction holding the place 90% of the time. At least with the 1800 it was pretty much 50/50. And if this is SO bad, just disable the damn zone until it's fixed.
blizzard should instead of "fixing" tol barad think about "fixing" the amount of honnor gained from honnorable kills and battllegrounds.15min wait que to enter a game that i will most probably loose (80%) because people just don't really bother trying to win.i get something like 40 honnor and ill have to spend half a day to get an item that doesn't have the stats i would wish (half items were NOT included on live) and even if it does it is still a MINOR upgrade to the crafted gear.oh but there is tol barad! that i qued for 12 times in a raw and never joined because blizzard had made the ques "random".why would anyone want to exploite tol barad?.....
I really wish they would move away from the current attack/defend model completely. The only way to achieve true balance is by giving both sides a fair start. I think it should be some kind of battleground where both sides start on an equal footing, like in every other battleground, and if they're so insistent on an attack/defend model it should be like strand where the factions switch roles. Instead of giving an in-battle advantage to the previously winning side, the winning side should get more honor as usual and control of the zone for several hours, resetting every game.
There are so many good solutions that they could at least try out for Tol Barad. This is just disappointing.
