Lemme sum up 60% of the up-coming posts:RRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGE!/Doesn't play a paladin/Expecting much unhappiness in the guild tonight.
Coming from an ex Holy pally (now currently Prot) I can sum up Blizz's words to all Holy Pally's easily.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygQvB6OjHOU
Only people who don't know how to play a holy paladin correctly will rage at this. The smart ones would have already known the fix was coming... just a matter of time. All healers should be just about equal... just having a different flavor in how they heal. Some stack HOTs, some cast a bunch of small heals, some cast just a few large ones, etc. Whatever. Just like different flavor tanks or different flavor dps.
sure sure.. because nerfing holy Pally is so much fun.
It makes sense really. Regardless of the fact that I play a Healadin, it makes things a little bit easier for my other healers. :)
Just the Tower of Radiance change was needed; nerfing Light of Dawn is quite obnoxious, though, considering how much more it takes to build up charges for it with said ToR change.Well, at least the hotfixes are easy to apply. If they find that Paladin's AoE healing capability is abysmal due to this, they can knock it back up to where it was again.
Well well well, that explains a whole lot... Of nothing to me though! Like mecheye I:Do not play a paladinWill be little to no complaints from guildies.Go play an actually hard class to spec properly, such as a mage or lock.
I do not understand why they would choose to nerf paladins instead of buffing the other healers.Other healers are going OOM while paladins are not, why not make it so the other healers have less mana issues? I know right now on my resto druid it doesn't feel like I have scaled at all while leveling. Even with stacking mastery out the arse, my HoTs barely tick for more than what they did at the end of wrath, while they cost 4x as much mana and my mana pool has only grown by maybe 10-20%. Couple that with being in a very small guild (only 3 of us on at any given time) and having to PuG everything and I feel like players are being punished for getting the expansion. I knew dungeons and heroics and raids were going to be more difficult, I actually welcomed that change. But I also thought that it would mean that my HoTs would continue to be able to handle the damage coming in. Having to HT spam instead of being able to roll HoTs isn't a welcomed change to a healing class I love. If I wanted to primarily use a nuke heal playstyle, I wouldn't have made a druid in the first place.TL;DRDon't nerf paladins, buff the other healers instead.Amg, plz fix dr00d healz. ktnx
i having with resto SOOO big problems oom rly fast 80k mp and regen 2.4k in combat but still low heals and oom fast.. :D i changed to boomkin its easier :Di am happy that healadins got nerf cuz ppl wanted only healadins for hcs.. >.>
I posted that issue with holy power and tower of radiance multiple times on the beta forums, and even reported it in game as a bug. It's doesn't take a genius to figure out that was what was gonna happen. If blizzard took two seconds to sit down and play a holy paladin they would have figured it out without the need for a stealth nerf.
I think it would have been better to give it a reduced chance, say 20% instead of taking it out completely.
Now if only they'd buff Ret...
- People have already bought 3+ million copies!- Poor noobs, let's take the nerfing bat... oh wait, retribution is already screwed, let's nerf holy- And next class is...
Did they do this during the downtime? Because I was getting holy power from it last night.
yes, and no, it's not in the patch notes.Wonder why they felt the need to apply THAT much nerf bat.
They patch the game every 2 days (still didn't fix all bugs I've encountered) so I'm not surprised they can't release full list of changes
Did they not fix the tooltip?i lgged in and Tower still list Holy Light as a power generating heal.
