Why not buff other healers? Because lolhealz was for Wrath. Wrath had some cool storylines and quests, but it churned out a whole ton of terrible players. AOEtank + AOEdamage + unlimitedmana = blowing through heroics with no skill. Nobody learned how to play and those that did know how to play got lazy and some even forgot. Remember the joy of strategery!
I'll admit I forgot stuff >.>But it matters not, because Paladins suck now )= (Yes I'm whining about it).
I do not understand why they would choose to nerf paladins instead of buffing the other healers.Other healers are going OOM while paladins are not, why not make it so the other healers have less mana issues? I know right now on my resto druid it doesn't feel like I have scaled at all while leveling. Even with stacking mastery out the arse, my HoTs barely tick for more than what they did at the end of wrath, while they cost 4x as much mana and my mana pool has only grown by maybe 10-20%. Couple that with being in a very small guild (only 3 of us on at any given time) and having to PuG everything and I feel like players are being punished for getting the expansion. I knew dungeons and heroics and raids were going to be more difficult, I actually welcomed that change. But I also thought that it would mean that my HoTs would continue to be able to handle the damage coming in. Having to HT spam instead of being able to roll HoTs isn't a welcomed change to a healing class I love. If I wanted to primarily use a nuke heal playstyle, I wouldn't have made a druid in the first place.TL;DRDon't nerf paladins, buff the other healers instead.Amg, plz fix dr00d healz. ktnxFrom one resto druid to another, I feel exactly he same way. =(Almost makes you want to re-roll a mage or something...
lolOkay, I laughed!
Man, I must be a terrible player...because as a Holy pali I've been running out of mana despite all this "extra healing"
I don't play Holy Paladins, can anyone explain to me how at 3 stacks of holy power, healing even the whole raid for 3369 + some spellpower warranted a nerf? That's a drop in the bucket on 120K+ Health pools
I play a Holy Paladin, and while I too will join in the complaining, Holy Paladins were unarguably too good. By placing Beacon on the tank, spamming three Holy Lights, and then Light of Dawn-ing the raid, it was possible to heal the tank for 3-4 times the amount he would have been healed by a direct Word of Glory, and all for a completely insignificant amount of mana. This being said, the two pronged attack on Holy Paladins is overkill. In my opinion, simply reducing Light of Dawn healing by 40% would have completely solved the problem; Light of Dawn would no longer be the best choice for directly healing the tank, and Word of Glory is not enough on its own, so Paladins would have to resort to using their mana as Blizzard designed.Sometimes, I cannot understand why Blizzard makes certain design choices... Particularly this one after the mana issues of other healing classes are considered.
I do not understand why they would choose to nerf paladins instead of buffing the other healers.Other healers are going OOM while paladins are not, why not make it so the other healers have less mana issues? Simple: They -want- you to have mana issues. That's the whole point - learning how to heal with a finite mana pool.Doing what you suggest would be the complete opposite of their clearly stated design goals.
Surprised nobody has mentioned it, a number of pallys will now be running in to crusader strike the boss to generate Holy Power now.
There was no need to nerf Tower of Radiance in all seriousness. What they needed to do was fix the bug that allowed Beacon of Light to activate from each and every Light of Dawn target and Protector of the Innocent procs. That is why Light of Dawn was spammed so damn much, it is the extra healing from talents proc'ing off each other that made LoD worth it as a tank heal. After running heroic Grim Batol post ninja-nerf, I used LoD only twice. It's complete ass now. I spent most of my time standing in place spamming single target heals and I did not enjoy myself at all. Running around, using HL to build HP as a way to save mana, lining up people for LoD to milk the most healing out of your money's worth is what made the new healing situation interesting. Now, it's back to tank healing and spamming single heals... which if I remember correctly, it was the design intent to avoid this situation in the first place.Character Stats78,597 Mana5416 Spellpower1919 Spirit2146 MP5 unbuffed: 2472 with MightWoG: 1 HP = 4326LoD: 1 HP = 1743-1764 (Game Reports 2753 on Tooltip, Hotfix aka Stealth Nerf didn't fix the tooltips)Naked Holy Paladin These numbers were taken from average heals just now while wearing no gear, but in holy specWoG 1HP = 2853LoD: 1 HP = 852Also, the Seal of Insight glyph does not buff Word of Glory or Light of Dawn. The other heals aren't buffed by 5% like the tooltip says, they are buffed by 4.3% in reality.Edit: Surprised nobody has mentioned it, a number of pallys will now be running in to crusader strike the boss to generate Holy Power now. It's a shame that you have to waste 2342 mana to gain one charge of holy power and no healing is actually done by spending that mana on Crusader Strike @ Level 85. It's just an utter waste.
Nerfing a pally is always fun ^^
LoL. As a healadin, i must say.. This sucks. Nerf all you want, but this is bad. I go out of mana toooo soon right now. Plus.. Light of Dawn..? Please.. I've never really even used it in raids. It's too hard to build up for. I prefer Word of Glory as an extra tank heal.
I don't get what's so heroic about going into a heroic and coming out with full mana and hp after an encounter.
I'm really glad no one from the raging paladins work at Blizzard
Ugh, I still play Ret even through the nerfs, and when I look at this, I keep thinking they'll do what they always do each expansion for the next one. Completely change the way Paladins play because they can't balance 'em for ^&*!.This is ridiculous. Sure, it had to be nerfed if indeed it was completely trivializing mana, but LoD was supposed to be our AoE Holy Power heal. Now, I doubt that button will ever be pressed.
I don't get what's so heroic about going into a heroic and coming out with full mana and hp after an encounter.1) I guarantee you don't play a holy pally.2) I bet you haven't done heroics yet.Playing a holy pally wasn't ROFLFACEROLL easy. Yes, there was a simple system that, indeed, did put out a LOT of HPS for a small amount of mana.In heroics? There are trash pulls that in the space of 4-5 GCDs would take a 130K Tank from full to -50K HP. If you think that this "autocast" sequence would keep a tank up through that, you're sadly mistaken. To heal that kinda incoming damage you're forced to spit out FoL or DL, at 7K Mana each cast, several times to not let the tank die. With the current LoD bug transferring each LoD heal to the beacon, ONE cast could be a LoD in that mess, since it would tend to hit for 20K+ on the tank.
paladins have always been the ez-mode class
ROCK LOBSTER and something about matching towels.... GET THAT DAMN SONG OUT OF MY HEAD! also, to pallies: QQ moar
Go play an actually hard class to spec properly, such as a mage or lock.mages are not hard to spec. and I can still use my one button arcane rotation.Since when can a mage or lock heal fill a healer slot in a raid?:)
