I'm pretty sure you guys have your level ranges wrong. Throne of the Tides should be a level 80 instance, along with Blackrock Caverns. Both instances drop the same iLevel loot. It's my understanding that Vortex Pinnacle is a level 82+ instance.
You "think"? Were you actually playing when CC was required every pull? I guess not.It requires a little thought the first time you see an instance, after that it's just routine and annoying. People who think CC equates to thought and difficulty ought to be looking at Hello Kitty themselves, because if that is what makes the game difficult for you then you're a bad player.Firstly, I'd argue the point that if you only find CC routine and annoying... you clearly don't raid -- or if you do, and I hate to be the one to break this to you... you're obviously not a vital member of it. And on that note, some of us like that the feel of Vanilla WoW is coming back, instead of this washed-out shadow of its former self. At least some color and activity is being worked back into the game.Secondly... you're dead right. If CC makes the game difficult for you, then you're definitely a bad player. So... why the resistance to weeding out people like that at long last? There's a notable difference between a casual player and a bad one, we could do without more of the latter. A lot more.
There are errors on this page in regards to dungeon level. For instance This page states The Stonecore (81 - 83) click on the link and you see it says "The Stonecore is a 5-man dungeon designed for players of level 82-84"They all seem to require updating in some way, would be helpful before launch.
Ughghgh I'm sad that I will have to wait 4 more days to get cataclysm..! This excites me a lot I cant wait to be in a actual challenging dungeon, I hope the challenges aren't repeats of older challenges...! But either way, I'm really looking into raiding Blackwing Descent, fighting Ony and Nef's undead dragon versions will be fun! =D
I hope there will be a raid in a later patch where you can kill death wing =)
I noticed that the level ranges are wrong as well, wowinsider directly contradicts this in two of their articles posted a few hours ago.http://wow.joystiq.com/2010/12/06/cataclysm-101-zone-and-instance-progression/#continuedhttp://wow.joystiq.com/2010/12/06/cataclysm-dungeon-guide-vortex-pinnacle/#continuedWowinsider's guide to vortex pinnacle specifically says the level range is 82-84, which makes a lot more sense considering the level range of Uldum. Throne of Tides shouldn't be a 82-84 dungeon in Vash'jir, a 80-82 zone.
I for one can't wait to level up and try out all these new dungeons and raids. I believe that this change to instances and raids i much needed. I am looking forward to once again have to use raid marks, get certain mobs CC'd and have a burn order. The WotLK mindset for instances was extremely boring. "Charge in, get aggro, dps AoE the mobs down, loot and repeat". Every single instance was like that.I for one am very excited for the challenge that awaits us. Might also be a good way to get more guild instance group going ^_^
" The Caverns were created by Deathwing himself when he decided that it would be convenient of the Blackrock Mountain was connected to the Twilight Highlands"Should it not be "convenient if the Blackrock Mountain?" Otherwise, looking to be lots of fun. Now I just have to get past 80...

Just ran Throne of Tides for the first time. Am waiting to do each dungeon (first time) until I have completed the quests leading up to it. I figure I will be running them all so many times, why rush it? I want to savor my first run as much as possible, give it the full cinematic buildup... That being said, ToT was not too tough. I tanked, and while my health bar bounced around a lot, we never wiped. We did not know the fights and just had to sort them out on the fly, but were able to adjust in time for all the surprises.I did really enjoy ToT, especially just coming off the cinematic for the submarine fight and all the rest. By the time we went in, I felt the sense of urgency, the drama... I very much look forward to uncovering the other dungeons (each in their own time).
Ozumat, the giant mind-controlling octopus-like creature.fun......
Mind You one thing, You say, that WotLK dungeons were boring ... mostly ppl just rush through, even skipping bosses; I've been to many heroics, so my pov is:imo dungeons are I'd say entry lvl, why is it important? Well you should do quests => get quest gear, do dungeons => get dungeon gear, and do heroics for the gear also. What happens when you passed heroic dungeon lvl? You do raids for raid gear, and even some ppl do Heroic Raids ... so do NOT be surprised that heroic dungeons ran in (heroic)raid gear seem trivial ... if You are bored with it, do NOT vendor your dungeon or heroic dungeon gear, and equip it every time doing a (heroic)dungeon; You should notice that boss-encounters are much more challenging and take much more time!My main hunter is (still) in 264 gear, and yes = heroic dungeons are blazing fast ie. ToC/5 takes about 10-12 minutes (sometime queuing takes more time than a dungeon itself!) depending on group - if that is boring to You, try getting lower lvl gear and rediscover the challenge!I think that Dungeon Finder looks for ppl with comparable gear for a dungeon; As for today :) dungeon difficulty do NOT scale with Your gear lvl ... You'd probably want that to happen so you could find more challenge in your imba raid gear ... but that's not gonna happen. Use lower lvl gear instead;Try Do more likeA Tribute to Dedicated InsanityHerald of the TitansAnd imo those should still be obtainable whether or no they are, bcs doing this in appropriate gear is still a challenge!
This looks really cool, but the only thing i really disagree on is Heroic Deadmines. It's way too fked up to have a random girl be (supposedly) stronger then Kael'Thas, when the girl was invented for the sake of replacing a low-life thief, and the latter is the reason we even had a WotLK expansion in the first place. And has had a huge impact on the events that occurred on Azeroth in the past.
This place looks awesome, cant wait to get in there
