My complaint with the changes was the current events didn't match the mechanic changes. ICC fights are still about "dump the biggest heals as fast you can into targets" but the changes in abilities now don't support this. This will go away when Cataclysm is opened but at the moment it feels kind of odd where you are lazily healing or you are doing 'white knuckle key pounding' trying to keep HP levels at the right levels.
I'll love the fact that idiot tanks who want to faceroll everything in a 10 minute instance will be stopped in their tracks and have to learn to actually tank again. The type of tank who says "if you run out of mana you're a bad healer". Not every healer is going to be able to keep up with idiots like this and they will either learn or pay a high price in repairs. Healer runs out of mana....slow down. I always keep an eye on my healers (and other toons) mana.I can't wait for the changes.
Will be really interesting to see how they will approach this coupled with increasing itemlevels. That was the problem for WotLK, mp5 /spirit was balanced around ilvl ~213, and the increasing itemlevels led to what we have today. So, I have no idea how they will deal with it, but I'm damn sure they will try somehow.
To be clear- no matter what Blizzard does, or doesn't do there will always be people that will complain, and cry about everything and anything in the game. :D
I like it. I thought something was missing...
As it is, my druid, does not go under 90% mana in a heroic. Pre 4.0, my druid rarely went under 80%.That's not right and I'm glad Cata is fixing this. In BC I had to drink pots and use mana-return abilities. Thats how it should be (though not exactly since we only have one pot per encounter now.)
I have to say, even though its been repeated numerous times, that these changes will bring the challenges back into healing. I'm quite inexperience as a healer, but even I realised that it was more reactions than try to have time to think ahead of dealing with what the damage output was from the enemy.....So I like the slowdown in reactions now, with more planning involved in future encounters :)
This sounds good to me. I plan to change my off spec on my pally to heals for cata having never healed before so this should make it fun.
I think it is great. I also like that they are bringing CC back, and that DPS needs to watch their aggro again. Everyone was on autopilot, now it will be a lot more fun, in my opinion.
I just wanna know why the tree form for druids was nerfed to 30 seconds. were they better then other healers so it needed to be so badly nerfed to the point where healing with a druid is... kind of lame?
