I just feel bad for Aestu. Do you think someone with his/her post history is a happy, well-adjusted human being?
Dam...tempted to change one of my chars to a goblin at the start (but still doing my rogue). I might just do my hunter into a Goblin
I think this is a good idea, for those who want to show off that look straight away. However I've no doubt many will still level up to expereince the starter zones.Bliz initially said they were thinking of delaying it, but kept saying they hadn't fully decided Developer Chat: Q.14. Guess they have now, and the prospect of getting a boat load of $25 payments was too much to resist :)
Race changes at launch? Gah! This is the dumbest thing Blizzard has ever done!...Nah, I'm just kidding. I have no idea why anyone would be upset about this. The only concern I could see would be a head start for "realm first," but that's not going to be an issue.
I for one welcome our green-gnome-looking overlords on patch day.
I like it.Worgen Warlock inc.
I can't see where is the problem. It simply means that if someone doesn't care about starting zones and lore, they can have their little greenskin/fleabag at lvl 80 from day one. How this can damage or even influence your gaming experience? Blizzard do it for money? Oooooh bad, bad Blizzard, how you dare earning money?
Some of the posts here just made me die a little inside.
I have a question about this. You know how achievements disappear when you faction change? (I don't know if that happens during race change due to count of initial quests and such?) If I make my Night Elf a Worgen, what achievements will I lose? Thanks to some converting to Feats of Strength I've already lost about 60 points =P I want to prove how little life I have even if I switch! =D
Ah well this is great news for me, as i will still be leveling a goblin from level 1, it removes a ton of the playerbase that would rather not start a goblin from level 1 again. ( or any alt for that matter.) and would rather spend december 7ht leveling to 85. as for the race realm firsts, not at all a huge loss and will prevent some players from getting flamed as having no life etc.
Overall it's a good change. It is kind of lame how now it's like you level one toon to cap and you can swap everything except classes. It kind of takes away from the accomplishment of leveling a specific combination to 80, like a female dwarf priest! But that's small potatoes, in general this is a VERY good change becuase there are way too many horde since burning crusade came around, and with battlegroups combining there's going to be some serious queue time issues for regular bgs. I can see a lot of horde faction changing to alliance worgen, just as tons of allies rerolled blood elves in burning crusade and wrath. But I don't see many alliance faction changing to goblins. There will be plenty of people who do, but I'll bet it will be more horde race changing and hopefully the pops will balance out.
I'll be happy to switch my BE pally to Moocow eventually, but I'm more looking forward to trying a goblin from low level to experience the new areas/quests. Most of this activity is going to be people in the other faction wanting to look like werewolves so I'll get to avoid it, and there are so many goblins running around as NPCs it'll be hard to notice on the Horde side. Besides, more money for Blizz=better game in the long run. I'll keep my main Droocow just as she is though, I don't mind trolls but the females walk funny (sorry femtroll players).
Death Knight Drawf to Worgen, Rogue Gnome To Worgen.. Then make a Warrior Worgen and Druid then I'll be set
