My last requirement is DMF which Im working on as fast as I can. Sunday Dec. 5 until Saturday Dec. 11 is the last DMF before Cataclysm hits on Tuesday Dec. 7!So, knowing that DMF faction will exist in Cataclysm (we've all seen the 85 trinkets) does that mean that I will be able to recieve the Feat Of Strength if I go Exalted some time after Dec. 7?
lol... removing one of the hardest and most expensive reputations... doesn't make the title easier to get AT ALL..... not.The title rewarded for this version of the feat should be changed to "The Slightly Insane".I'm not usually one to complain about them making the game easier but this is ridiculous. The whole point of this feat was that it was hard and insanely annoying to do and the Shen'dralar was a big part of that. Just removing it, making it easier to get, destroys the whole point of this feat of strength. FFS why can't they for once stick to what they said and simply make it unobtainable with Cataclysm and that's that....
Removing the achievement completely on such short notice would piss off many people, who are in the middle of their grind. And ye scratching out the Shen'dralar requirement makes it much less "special" and worthy. Maybe Blizz might find a way to scale the things. They could make the other criteria more difficult to obtain, than they allready are... So that it remains as challenging and so the folks who allready done it and suffered the pain would not feel the injustice that much ..
The title was never hard to get. It's just tedious (hence insane).Besides, this happens all the time. Some examples...I, for one, grinded Wintersabers back when it took forever. Now it can be done a lot faster, as you no longer get 1/10th of the rep from killing grey mobs (and not even 1/5th, but the full 1/1), and the quest rep is greatly increased. In fact, the whole achievement system is slightly off in that it was implemented at the end of TBC. I had done loads of things before that and become more casual for WotLK, though you get like 6000 achievement points for raiding in WotLK, and 200 for raiding pre-WotLK, which you even had to revisit after the implementation (The actual numbers are quite different, but since I don't have them at hand, I just took some arbitrary ones). They were even thinking about removing the old PvP titles so they could reuse them at some point, which pissed off my Grand Marshal friend who only has that title to show for his dedication back then. I'm not sure if they're still planning to reuse them, or if they changed their minds for now.If you got the title, good for you. Perhaps you even have the date locked (though achievement dates tend to "reset" when they're updated). The thing is, almost no one but you yourself care, and again, this happens all the time in various areas.</rant>
Can't imagine Blizz would award the title under "all but" circumstances--if you have all exalted but for Shen'drelar, I wouldn't hold my breath for a magical title award after that faction becomes extinct. Just because you can't get more rep with the faction doesn't change the fact that the rep is required. It may be slightly different, but when 4.0.1 came out, I had a toon at 392/400 for "Did Somebody Order a Knuckle Sandwich?", and 3/4 for "Master of Arms". Since weapon skill was removed in the patch, so were those potential achievements. Hope this ach is still available after Cat arrives, but I doubt it.
Evening there. My personal opinion is that Blizz make a mistake here. When cata come on Beta said us that * Insane in the Membrane * will not be removed. They come after 2 months and told us it wont be removed but u cant cant take the tittle plus the achiev if u dont have the Shen'dralar reputation.Personaly i spent more than 25k gold and enough hours of farming Dm for librams and pristines the last 2 weeks so i can get the Achiev. It's not fair for many peeps. An award should be nice for Shen'dralar reputation. The tittle insane is not the same for me anymore. And i thing for most of the players that trying to get these achieves.excuse me for my English. My Greek r much Better ^^.Hope For a blue post that can tell us more infos about this achiv. And ofc for Shen'dralar reputation and if we will gain something in Future.T.c guys.
So you're saying me selling al my PBDs 3 days ago was the smart thing to do?... Perfect!
Hmm - not sure if I should go finish this grind, but I'm just tired of searching through Plaguelands for Blood of Heroes.. then again, I have tons of pristine black diamonds ;)
Well, i'm not surprised or upset that blizzard removed it from the feast of strength . it was bound to happen as many players "like" to grind for it and would be utterly disappointed when all their effort go to waste.Edit: blizzard gave love to those who did shen'dralar; my QQ was therefore meaninglesstime to get lockboxez!
LOL thinking pixels in a game "means something" and crying about it hardcore. It just means you hardcore fail at priorities in life, and your many protestations about "not caring" are so much blather.Someone who really doesn't care wouldn't waste so much time being insulting and acting superior about a game *they don't even PLAY ANYMORE* on a message board for people who do play. Why would anyone be so mad about something so trivial, when they profess not to care about or wish to play the game at all? It's a game. None of it requires true effort, because it is all PLAY. Recreation.Acquiring a college education requires effort and is an accomplishment worthy of praise and recognition.Becoming the owner or CEO of a successful corporation is an accomplishment that requires much hard work and dedication.Raising children to become productive members of society is hard work and "means something" much more than pixels on a screen.Yes, I know I too am griping on a message board about video games, I guess I just finally had my fill of Aestu and his constant whining.
Hm, posts are disappearing from this thread...
