They only mentioned Rebirth and Soulstones... Will this be affecting Reincarnate at all?
Well. It'll (hopefully) mean they don't use retarded instakill mechanics (Azgalor anyone?)
Pretty sure Reincarnate is considered a Combat Resurrection, though maybe since it's only a self rez it wont count.
My 10-man raids are already like this (one druid, no warlock paying attention enough to use his soulstone, ever) so I'm fine with this. But if this is going to be one of the ways they're attempting to make 10-mans more 'difficult' to be on par with 25-mans then I think this is a bit of a bogus way to go around doing it. IE, there are probably better ways of doing a difficulty balance than this. Also, how long before they decide that Shamans' Reincarnate gets counted into this? I'm betting when they the first content patch after launch.... especially if raids begin to stack Shamans and sit around and wait for the ability to get off cooldown.
Yeah, I also wonder if Shaman's Reincarnation counts as a Brez.Interesting change though.
I forgot to add something useful in my first comment.Even with the change, it probably won't feel very different. It's rare that you use more than 1 battle rez in a 10 man, and the same goes for 3 in 25 man. I suppose it's just one less "oh crap" button for raids.
Stock up on this, folks. Might be worth a whole more in Cata. :-P
You might wanna change the wording of the post from "one resurrection for 10-man encounters" to "one resurrection per 10-man encounter attempt" and so on. I have a feeling some people may get confused, and possibly not even read down to the blue post. I may be overthinking, but I just foresee people thinking it means one per entire raid...
well, who stacks druids and warlocks in their raids anyways? Useless change is useless.
Personally, I don't think it's going to have that much of an effect. If the success of downing a raid boss comes down to how many soulstones or brezes the raid has, then that's pretty sad.
NoooThis is going to mean that if you die.. you're basically going to get flamed for 2 hours.... especially in pugs
This is just another thing that Blizzard can use to design encounters around.the same thing happened when Potions gained Cooldowns for combat. And Battle/Guardian Elixirs were defined (with flasks).Raid Encounters will be designed with the knowledge that the raid will only have one Rez during battle.Haters gonna hate.
What I'm seeing in many places is people are whining constantly about how raids are too "easy" and that blizz need to makes things harder. So I think many people are gonna be happy with this. Then again those people are the children who think they're better then everyone else. Just sayin'
