That's a lot more reasonable.
...wow, just wow.I just went and blew my frost emblems on saronite last night, because of a thread I read where they said that 2.75 points was about 1/6 of a heroics boss, and it wouldn't be worth it to save the emblems.Sigh...well, the triumph badges are still 2.75, right?
The following items are immediately converted to gold: * Emblem of Heroism = 5.5 gold each * Emblem of Valor = 5.5 gold each * Emblem of Conquest = 5.5 gold each * Badge of Justice = 1.833 gold eachAs long as this stays the same I'm happy.
This isn't right. Emblems of Frost are harder to come by, so they should be worth more.
I kinda feel sorry for the people who farmed the previously required 1455 emblems already. But just a little bit.
It's not a total loss for them, though. 1455 * 11.58 = 16849 justice points when 4.0.1 goes live. They'll have nearly 13000 to spend on gems/saronite/any remaining pieces they might want for offsets or whatever in the couple of weeks before 4.0.3 caps it down to 4000. Or they could just not spend them and collect the gold after the 4.0.3 cap. 12849 * 47.5 silver = 6103g.
Im glad I decided to just level my mage alt instead of going bonkers grinding badges on my 80s. I am just curious as to what the current badge gear will cost in justice points. Will it be close to their current badge cost?
Currently 1 level 251 gloves is 694 Justice points; this means it costs roughly ~63 emblems, about the same cost. The important thing to take away from this is essentially:We will be able to buy frost emblem gear, at nearly the current rates, with triumph emblems.This combined with removing Chill of the Throne in 4.0.1, makes me look forward to getting through ICC with some alts.
So basically if you more than 300+ frost badges you will cap on Justice points and the badges will be lost. But if you have trimpuh you won't cap no matter how many you have and you can buy tier 10?
Same here! I went ahead and leveled something else, have 1 emblem of frost and nothing else.
You can farm as many emblems as you want and none of them will go to waste: (source)
This is great news for my alt warrior, who still has some T9 gear, but 300+ triumph saved up. Time to get his full T10!
My warrior, 2 DKs, Shaman, and Hunter are eagerly awaiting for this to go live -_-;;;;
Just to point out a few things.1. This makes no change to the current system for frost emblems. They will convert to exactly the same 'buyng power' they had before with regards to Wotlk items. ie... it takes about 95 to buy the chest.. etc.2. Truimph badges are basically getting converted to frost badges as far as 'buying power' goes. Some people are saying that this is a nerf to frost badges, but it really isn't.. it's a buff to triumph badges.3. The amount of JP that you will be able to carry through to level 85 will be enough to buy you 2 pieces of level 85 blues (which are the equivelent of 187 blues now). So it is nice, but definitely not a game-changer or something you need to focus on. 4. If you DO decide to max out your 4000 JP now, that means that any JP you earn by doing dungeons while leveling 81-85 will be WASTED. You cannot go above 4000 JP and you won't be able to buy the lvl 85 items early ( in Cata, you can only buy items if you already are the required level, so no buying level 85 items when you ding 81).
QQ MOAR!By the time 4.0 goes live, 1 Emblem of any kind will get you 4000 points!Seriously, Blizz needs to stop and think about the fact that 11 million people are listening when they speak. And many of us already dumped our emblems based on what they said. Sure, I know, its pixels.....farm more....QQ less, but if this is a sign of things to come, Im scared of what Cata is going to be like. And FWIW, Im not QQing at all about the original conversion amount, just that they changed it after announcing it, causing me, and Im sure others, to make a decision based on that announcement.
