Really looking forward to FFXIV. Hopefully they learn there lesson from FFXI. Waiting for hours just to get a party for exp was a big headache.
never got a chance to play FFXI, had the choice of it and Wow when they both came out, guess we know who won. Signed up to check it out if I get into beta.
I played the beta the last couple days, and my opinion matches that of Tobald's: http://tobolds.blogspot.com/2010/09/cancelled-final-fantasy-xiv-preorder.htmlTL:DR - It really is FF XI again, but with DX11 graphics. Pass.
I disagree. I think they really improved upon XI's faults with this one; it just requires too powerful a system to run very well at all.I play both with a gamepad. If one has any interest in either game, I would highly recommend investing in one; they improve the experience quite a degree.Edit: Semicolons semicolons semicolons everywhere.
I'm just wondering why rename the classes to things unfamiliar? Is a Gladiator not a Knight? Is a Marauder not a Berserker? Is a Pugilist not a Monk? Lancer -> Dragoon? Conjurer -> Black Mage? Thaumaturge -> White Mage? I don't know, I may just be wearing rose colored classes.
That is very, very true.
Not that I was even highly interested in this game before hand but after hearing about the fatigue system I'm turned off it all together.
In before Red Mage.
......wat. No, no, "wat" doesn't say enough. Double-U-Tee-Eff Squarenix. Have you learned nothing? You're not designing "Final Fantasy, more of the same but with even more grind." you're designing a next gen MMO. Anything and everything will be compared to WoW. And pulling crap like that, even if in one single zone can kill it for a lot of people. Smooth move.
