Interesting. - This video may have sold the idea of levelling another Paladin. Me-lee DPS for a main spec with healing for an off-spec, sounds pretty good.(Lets just hope Blizzard doesn't muck up Paladin's with the new holy system.)
Sounds good...I was already thinking about changing my Pally from having a offspec of ret to holy for Cataclysm. Now I'm sold on the idea.
Don't let your ring fall of in the lake again, lore.
AAAAH!! He's talking about the... the... the fabled, ancient, stupid thing that nobody ever cares about!
Can't see this sticking for long.Especially in 25man where it is basically a race to get your heals on your target before another healer gets there first, otherwise mana is completely wasted......that is, unless they're going to put more emphasis on organising your healers (who heals what etc), in which case, unlucky pugers =P
Lore, I'm just saying that you should stay on the facts and not to talk about some bull!@#$ that nobody gives a #$%^! Just like in the previous part you were talking about some puppies and some random "I would need a shave or something" and now something about your house or whatever. Seriously, nobody gives a $%^& about those things. We just want to know about Cataclysm Healing Game or whatever, not something puppy crap xDD
Naked-statue-dude, you're not funny, so stop with the puerile swearing and primitive "XDD" smiley. He does that to be funny (you may not think it's funny, but then again, I don't count you as a valid audience) and if you want the serious stuff, go to ElitistJerks. I don't know if you're elitist, though you probably are, but you are a certified jerk. Swearing at a guy who's actually put a lot of work into something you wouldn't be able to do better, and then topping it off with a childish smiley to avoid being b& isn't welcome anywhere, #$%^&*weed.
As Pyreanor said, you want dry info and knowledge, go to EJ. You want snippets of information and an overview to base your own research on with a bit of personality? Come here. If Lore had made this vlog all about the facts it would likely have died on it's ass a couple of weeks after creation. Back on topic, these changes clearly increase the value of the self-heals that are coming in, such as Recuperate for Rogues. I wonder whether there will end up being fights where speccing for survivability is going to be more important than outright DPS. Will avoidance and mitigation no longer be the sole preserve of the Tank...?
I've always been a fan of TWM, and this one is no exception. Those of you who do not like his reporting style, just go ahead and refrain from watching in the future. TankSpot has always done a good job at delivering the information you need, with some personality and flavor attached to it.Is it everyone's style? No - and nor would I expect it to be. That's why there are as many news stations on TV as there are. Don't like a specific reporter/host? Switch channels. Too much spin on one story? Switch channels. Is the reporter an ex-girlfriend you despise? Switch channels. So naked statue dude... switch your channel.
As soon as Lore said "... lake ..." I was thinking something to the effect of "Don't lose your ring again!" xD
..It's World of Warcraft. If your life is going to end because some youtube video mentions a puppy or wallpaper for a split second... I really don't think you should be playing videogames.
Could people just stick to the information about the game he gave us?If you don't like it don't watch it/future. End of the storyOn topic:I count the days till Cata arrives,I really was getting bored with the healing game (shaman pov) in this WOTLK expansion where everything is reduced to a rotation. No strategy,no thinking, just follow a rotation with your focus priorities and do not care about mana, changing relics while casting,downranking...I watched Alienas video in "something of the rocks" instance and I should say I like itLet's see what awaits us in the future...
I'm actually really excited about the prospect of being able to click a Lightwell, partially because I've never seen one in a raid before, but mainly because I like the idea of people having to get used to dealing with something they have always been vehemently opposed to.A whole lot of Cataclysm material seems to fall into that category, actually.
Well I've already posted my thoughts on the actual changes he talks about. If you don't like his extra bits he throws in why are you watching TWM?Lore I for one like to hear your opinion on things and telling us how your weeks been isn't a bad thing.Just as a quick after thought (as in I'm editing this in): You are watching this on the internet you can just skip over the start if it really bothers you.
Great Vid, keep 'em comin.Stop feeding the Trolls, guys. (u aint gotta come and confesswe lookin for u we gon find u)
Nice overview again. I can now undustand the idea of not only stamina/armor build for tanks. The avoidance thing, really make sense. But could someone help me with this question (I've never raid yet): "What does stand on the fire means?"
I hope that's not trolling, so I'm gonna bite...."Don't Stand in the fire!"In most raids (and in some heroics, like the one in Drakthon, or PoS, or ToC5) there are mobs / bosses that put an effect on the ground. (Drakthon is a black pancake looking thing, PoS has Ick's minions as well as Ick who spit out puddles of green slime, and ToC5 has the rogue hero who throws a poison bottle making a green poison puddle as well. A bunch of other heroics have similar things.)The effect (regardless of the type) is referred to generically as "fire". Since everyone knows you don't stand in fire, it hurts. All these other crazy ass things result in the same thing happening, you die from damage. So, when you see a baddie "spit out something" and the floor changes color? DON'T STAND IN IT!
