I'd really like to see how reforging plays out. Too bad its bugged.
Unfortunately we are unable to test reforging to get more exact information, as it is currently bugged!Smooth, Blizzard, smooth.
It looks like Blizz is copying Pitbull o.0One of my friend's biggest complaints about the default UnitFrames is that they are almost completely useless for raid healing. Hopefully, they are fixing this.
So can we like lets say I'm tanking and loot something with spell power can I wipe spell power for defense?
So can we like lets say I'm tanking and loot something with spell power can I wipe spell power for defense? There won't be any +def or +sp items in Cata (except for caster weapons as stated below, personally I thought even weapons would have no SP until I read those comments after my post)Edit for some on-topic comments; Seems like nice changes. Reforging sounds good and as long as the cost of reforging isn't something utterly ridiculous I'm looking forward to using it =P Raid frame change isn't that big of a deal to me personally but it seems good too.
Since Defense is no longer a stat, and SP is only on caster weapons, I'd say no. However, this was intended to take maybe Crit and turn to Haste, etc.
So can we like lets say I'm tanking and loot something with spell power can I wipe spell power for defense? No, because in Cata there is no such stat as defense, and spell power will only be on weapons. :PDang, beaten twice. Oh well. I'd be able to maintain a better balance between crit and haste on my Druid this way.
The newer raid frames appear to be much nicer than the current ones at least. One fewer addon? Yes, please!
from the looks of it, Reforging will be that;if you gem/enchant an item, you can take it to this vendor, and they will get the mats back for you, either the gem, or regents for the enchant.am i correct?

I wonder what all the reforging conversions will be...
So, if I reforge my sword, would that make it refurbished?
So can we like lets say I'm tanking and loot something with spell power can I wipe spell power for defense?Ignoring the idiots who are just saying these stats don't exist: Yes, you could. If defense and spellpower existed in Cataclysm then, theoretically (since I can't test the entire mechanic of Reforging atm), you could reduce the amount of spellpower and convert that to defense. Since they do not exist, you'd be swapping it with other stats anyway.I'm assuming that you won't be able to remove an stat entirely, or if you do it'll be insanely expensive.
Nice Raid Frames. The lesser addons I have to use, the better it is :).
We aren't idiots for calling him out on it. Also, I think the plan was originally for it to only affect secondary stats like hit, crit, haste, etc. Spell Power and Defense are, to me anyway, primary stats. Maybe someone has a different (or more official) definition. But I never expected reforging to alter spell power, attack power, and defense before I learned they weren't going to be on gear anymore.
Primary stats are white. Secondary stats are green.
They better balance that reforging-thing really well...
This will be rather handy once you hit a stat cap. My first thought was I can finally get rid of that extra hit my boomkin has.
The new raid frames also show incoming heals! So awesome!I hope that makes addons like libhealcomm more efficient, plus it will just be great for everyone to have this feature.
Primary stats are white. Secondary stats are green.Meh, like I said, in my viewpoint, strength, agility, etc, are attributes; SP, AP, Defense are primary; and everything else is secondary. Not that it matters since my "primary" stats are mostly vanishing in Cata.
