If all caster classes could use cloth, i'd feel terribly sorry for the poor clothies >_> Imagine the holy paladin, resto/elemental shaman, resto/balance druid all rolling on the cloth... ugh, I really love the Need before Greed function blizz have given us. And this only reinforces that idea. Would hate to see all casters roll whenever a cloth item drops. Even in pve, armor plays a role. As caster, you can wield a type of armor for a reason. A shaman would (in most cases anyway), use a main-hand caster weapon + a caster shield, instead of just a staff. And they would almost always use mail as well. You know why? it makes them more durable. Same goes with druids. you aren't supposed to be hit by melee attacks as a healer, but it happens. It happens a lot...This does make it harder for the non-cloth casters early game, unless they redo all the equipment from azeroth as well. finding leather/mail items with caster stats on them is possible, but very, very hard... I know this because I leveled up with a boomkin druid. Poor girl had to deal with being called a ninja every &*!@ing time she needed cloth, because leather items with caster stats barely even existed. to the talent calculators, I... fail to see the difference. Maybe i'm looking in the wrong trees, but druids and shamans seem the same to me *shrug* with balance druids, I put 31 points in balance, put my 5 points in restoration (furor is so-and-so, and BoG is ... fine I suppose >_>), and then I have 5 points to fill out in random places in balance. You seem to be forced to fill out most of your tree... don't have many choices to make.
Interesting stuff available, almost don't recognise the talent trees of the paladin retribution anymore haha!
well guys, what should I say, I dont know how to describe my feelings. Cry? or Happy? What blizz did with talents well I dont like rly this change, end of hybrid talents. Only one time i was using hybrid spec I had very nice dps (DK Blood/unholy). What to use now on dps? Frost or Unholy now how blizz did this change on talents I dont know what specc use to on dps dk. About glyphs, Ye blizz right deleted Path of Titans, I think this new ,,progress of glyphs" can be added to next expansion aftet Catalysm. Glyphs was new thing in Wotlk and glyphs need more change. I seen new spells love them realy nice, and countries in wow oh my god realy nice graphic ( I will play it on ultra details:P) What about that new thing which I had to chance see? Frozen Armor - Death Knight can wear it no other classes or another armors which req. to wear some class like mage or some another class. Well I know game need progress and thanks to blizz for creativity but this change is realy fast.I would like to see what blizz do in next expansion which come after catalysm or that totaly last expansion. I play this game when TBC came out so I like new changes. But realy i dont know if cry or to be happy for that new talents.
Guys, the Paladin (specifically Retribution) talent tree is not complete. Judgements of the Wise is GONE, per Blizzard - it's now available to both Prot and Ret for free (well, trainer cost) and the new talent Communion is the talent of choice to enable Replenishment for your party/raid.And a lot of the rest of the tree is incomplete and/or innacurate. Wait a few weeks and I'm sure it'll be solidified.
do these armor specializations stack? Say you are a paladin... would wearing all plate give you +5% to Stamina, Strength, and Intellect?
So uh...Who wants to explain this Paladin..Holy Power thing? It certainly is appealing to have a complete overhaul. Scary to think whats going on top.*Yah! Just bulldoze my house!*-House is destroyed-*Too bad I dun'no whats going on top!*
I'll clarify Garenzo's comment.A Rogue builds Combo Points by using basic abilities. Those points accumulate on the target, so they don't show as a buff on your end - it's kind of like a debuff on the target, similar to the current Seal of Vengeance stack of 5. By using a special ability, a certain number of those "charges" are consumed, making the special ability more powerful. The difference for the Paladin is, the charges accumulate on YOU, so you can switch targets without losing the stack of points you've built up. You build those points by using basic abilities (currently looking like Crusader Strike is the most basic/go-to) and then unleash them by using Templar's Verdict, Holy Shield, Inquisition and Divine Storm. There may be others I'm missing, but that's the basic rundown. Then you've got this AWESOME Ret talent called Zealotry. It consumes 3 charges of Holy Power, but in return allows your Crusader Strike to give you 3 charges each time you use it for the next 15 seconds. Basically I see this as the "Burn phase" button, so you can really unleash your major moves without having to wait a long time in between charges.
Where's Moonkin Form? :S
And whats about the mastery system? I see it no where
My personal thought (but it will never happen) is that the easiest way to balance current armor issues is this: Make armor reflect role, not class. Healers/casters wear cloth. Agility DPS wear Leather. Strength DPS wear Mail, and Tanks wear Plate. Hunters start wearing leather and you retool Enh. shamans to be STR dps (which is more in line with what they really are...the horde's ret pallies). This allows gear drops to be more balanced. A clothie doesn't have to worry that the one piece he wants is BiS for that Moonkin that's been in the guild forever; because there's no need for creating near-identical items (especially with how blizz is streamlining itemization for all classes) simply to create plate gear (that only one class can use) that's itemized identically to the mail gear (that only two classes can use) that's itemized identically to the leather gear (that only three classes can use) that's itemized itentically to the cloth gear (that any caster can use). It also means that Resto Shaman A isn't stuck waiting for a group that can drop rotface so that he can get mail boots that are identical to the leather boots that drop off of DW...but no one lets him have because "Shamans shouldn't wear leather" (nevermind that he's wearing 226 boots and he jus watched those go to the kitty's offspec). As for the talent calculators: Nice...but so much for "having lots of options" as it seemed Blizzard was saying they wanted. Just from looking at the Warrior's Fury and Prot trees there's one "true" path that both specs can viably take for PvE. From the way blizzard was talking, they wanted more options that would influence the way players would actually play their class. The closest thing to this is the fury warrior's choice between 31pt talents.
it. still.sucks. i dont really understand your attempts to ruin the game, you've screwed everything we were enthusiatic about: path of the titans, more talents, etc. and we're not even getting a character revamp to replace those childish dwarf and human models. you tried to replace the path... with "medium glyphs" but you'll make glyphs permanent, so you'll screw the profesion. talents are, honestly, ruined; it's impossible to make an unique build, mix specs, etc, everything is stiff. why dont u better remove the talent completely, give us passive bonuses and new spells? that would be better than your stupid attemp to make us think that we're doing anything.u're still nerfing all the clases but paladin, instead of making em better. sucks, sucks and sucks
