This is what I concluded as well as some of the talents mention moonkin form.
It really looks to me like this was just the "shook out the junk and compressed what's left" pass, and the actual interesting choices GC referred to will be coming in later revisions. This is notably less talents per tree than he said they intend them to have.
hmm... doesn´t seem so impressive to me. it feels nerfed :s
I believe that there is a glitch in the Hunter BM tree. Bestial Discipline has Rank X/4, and if I read this correctly the max amount should be X/3.The maximum rank for any talent is now 3 instead of 5, with each tier still requiring 5 points to move onto the next tier.Anyway, stuff looks good so far. Can't wait for Caty C=
There's a bug...If you spend all your talent points (fill up a tree and then put the extras in another tree), and then decide to remove some of those talents from the extra tree, you can't put them in the filled tree. It's like it's locked...Defiantly a bug. I have found a way around it though...remove the point from the bottom talent in your chosen tree then you can spent points again. Worked for me at least.
i don't like it, everybody will pick the same talents

Looks like healers are meant to do a bit of damage in cataclysm. Holy Pallies get Inspired Judgements and Enlightened Judgements so they can heal by doing damage.Resto druids get Fury of Stormrage so that every time they have an available global cooldown they can cast wrath for free.Resto Shamans get that thing that makes them regenerate a bunch of mana every time they cast lightning bolt, so they'll be doing damage in order to regain mana.Disc Priests Reflective Shield will make them cause damage whenever their shielded friend is attacked.Holy priests don't seem to have any such talent but for fairness sake they probably will.Sounds fun, a good way to counteract what was starting to sound like very boring healing.Anyone think we'll see the day when healers start getting kicked cause their dps is too low?Or more likely, the crappy dpsers will not just be below the tank, they'll be doing less dps than the healers as well.
Personally I thought this was a joke ot a bug when I first saw it.I don't think it's impressive at all.I think this is really really boring. The trees are so small, now you'll just pick every single talent in the tree and fill it completely.Everyone will have the same talents..... What happened to the "more flexibility with talents" ?One fun thing about talents was also that you were able to put 1 every lvl. With this system talents won't be fun anymore. Now it's just a matter of closing your eyes and popping a talent in a random slot.....I think this is terrible. I can't believe it's true.
k just to clarify before everyone starts saying ur favorite talents (like earth shield and mind flay) have disappeared they are still there you can only get them though if thats what u choose to be ur main spec like shadow and resto. Just to help yoll who are better with pictures instead of words this is the priest talent tree and this is what shows up when u hit lvl 10 once you choose you get the ability listed (mindflay if you choose shadow desperate prayer if you choose holy and penance if you choose discipline).
This is actually a nerf to twinks and 19 campers. Personally, I dislike this as it decreases the ability to customize (no more shadow healers, not that there were many anyways). That's my 2 copper on the subject.
What happened to moonkin form? You will have it when you select Balance... I guess xD... The same with the Explosive Shot of Hunters Survival ^^See ya!
What happened to moonkin form?it's now a trainable skill available to all Druid's at level 40
I know it's an early build, but what happened to Divine Storm?
Must see how it mix with the abilities. But all in all, I'm looking forward to feel the sensation of moving down a tier exactly each 10 levels.
Why are the talent trees have the same, or a little than pets? it's like halfed... is this a glitch?
Great job Wowhead for staying on top of it!.I looked at priest... there are definitely some interesting choices already. They put smite spec talents pretty deep into both disc and holy trees, so you can't have them all. Shadow still has a few passive "boring" talents (like darkness, or shadow power), but there are certainly interesting choices there, too.I dug this up...Almost without exception, the talents we cut were the ones everyone took or the ones nobody took. There will still be very attractive talents that probably everyone takes, but there are also definitely choices where you can only take A or B and want both. Typically you might see a useful (but not necessarily dps-enhancing) ability in your own tree, but also a really attractive one in another tree. (source)I'm interested to see how it will play out.
wait wait wait, a talent point every how many levels? WUT?idk how to feel about this, for one its might be good, simpler interface, cool new talents, but im not digging that ill have to wait a couple of lvls before actually getting a talent.also theyre very small, what most peopla have said is true, everyone will have exactly the same talents, so if you get a couple of ret palas the only difference will be their haircut -.-"
I expected them to cut a few things
I feel like this needs to be posted here.
