yeah, go look it up.
I just helped digitize a book. Take THAT, spambots.
Just had to try..
I come here on occasion to read the forums, I use the database extensively, though.Programs like this don't really bother me, but I have found this one particularly hard to read. The two times I've been asked to enter the words, I've guessed at least one letter each time.
What is Captcha? Oh that's right... PREMIUM FTMFW!
Being a premium member, i haven't had to deal with this for a while... /suckupHowever! I would like to see the preview above the comment box again, and not below it :)
Sounds great! Le's test it out! (Like nao!)
What is this "Captcha" of which you speak?
I, for one, really like the preview box below the text box. The problem with it being above is that the longer I type, the more often I have to stop to scroll down -- the preview pushes the text box down, and then I have to scroll to be able to see more than a line or two.I also think it makes more sense in terms of progression. That is, I write my reply, then double check it for spelling errors/formatting (and sometimes I even revise it so that the post makes more sense), then submit. With the preview below, I'm doing that in order on the page. With preview above, I write in the text box, look up at the preview, then move down to submit... feels a bit awkward. But I suspect that I'll be in the minority for preferring the preview box below, given the replies I've seen already.
There you got Interest
Wha.......... OH There it is! Cute. :P
YAY! I mind CAPTCHAs much less when sites use reCAPTCHA!Digitizing items entering the public domain is a good cause in my book :)Although, each time I click in the comment box (even if I'm just moving the cursor) I get a new CAPTCHA. Not sure that's intended.Regardless, yay for not having the annoying blob ones either, no less! They're a lot harder on my eyes, personally.
Yay! This is totally awesome. Thanks Wowhead!
Can I say thank you?The old captcha was annoying. I kept getting a dot over the letter 'O' or 'C' making me confused as to whether it was a C or an O as it would cover where the gap in the C would be (or not if it was an O). And it was very difficult to differentiate between 0 and o and O. Now its easier because this one uses words so I can differentiate by using context. This one is much better. Thanks
