The reCaptcha thing is pretty awesome, getting other people to translate what your computer can't and using the idea as a security measure is shear genius.
My first Captcha, and I get "88", which looks like a butterfly. I had no idea what to do for a couple seconds...Also: If you write your comment, then click outside the textbox, then back inside, the Captcha reloads... Which is annoying if you have already written the Captcha, then go back to change something, then you have to go and re-write the Captcha =(
Testing only to test the reCAPTCHA.wtb Bambi questions?
My CAPTCHA = "Dolores Camden"...huh
Hooray for contributions!
Heh, gratz to all the users for simplification of the faster posters.... and it's a good thing Interest already has premium or he'd post even faster then before.
Testing...Wow! That is amazing!I have always wondered how does reCAPTCHA choose the words to display. Are those words that can't be understood by the text reading system, words that are easily understood by the system or words that have been recognized but need confirmation? It is interesting how this works and the contribution it makes to culture and knowledge :P
Gotta love xkcd. However:
hmm, these new captcha words are pretty annoying to read.
hmmm... kinda hard to read... At least I only need to read it once every 5 minutes :Dyeah, I hate these things lol. Just failed 3 times in a row trying to read that horrible mess. At least its not as bad as those ones that put lines and dots all over it
I liked the old one more. Easier to read, type, and it was more colorful.
I can't decide if this is good or bad.
Once per 5 minutes? Captcha is the main reason I almost never post here.Captcha for this post:sites philately WTF?
rankly, I'm SHOCKEd wowhead users tolerate any captcha requirements. I probably read 500 threads for every one I post info to, because of captcha. Use user-reporting to report bad posts, not captcha. It's anachronistic.
