Aww... I was really looking forward to Path of the Titans, which I thought of as a secondary-class system. There go my hopes of being a DK that can heal like a pally :PArchaeology sounds really interesting, I can't wait to see what cool gimmicks its going to have. Gimmicks like in engineering and useless items (furbolg form, arrokoa form, noggenfogger, etc.) are my favorite part of WoW.
i have a question are they still gonna bring back the old honor system?
I must admit the thing I hope the most for, is that they do not fail again, by doing as they did with Naxxramas, Udluar, Trial of the Champion - and those raids, now you can take a Random Herioc to get the same, and even a lot better gear. Hopefully they will add better gear as they proceed, but please make them upgrade the loot, and difficulty of the 'old' raids aswel - or atleast add another difficulty level (like HC) to them.Just my opinion But the thing I look most forward to is without doubt the new quests (: Love questing - just not from 30-58.. hopefully this will be as fun as the rest in Cataclysm (:
im so excited for this expansion. cant wait!
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!I CANT WAIT...I AM GONNA CAMP THA STOREZ WITH A GUN AND KILL ALL THAT TRIES TO BUY BEFOR ME XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD
Loving all the cosmetic changes and deep interaction with the storyline of the xpac with the environment.Liking the change to archaeology with the removal of Path of the Titans, now you won't have to spend days on end farming world drops or tens of thousands of gold on the auction house to be considered raid-ready (on top of gearing/ leveling trade skills/ farming consumables).Wary about the Guild Leveling/perks system. If it's anything but cosmetic it'll be potentially unbalancing in the endgame.Hating the new lockout system, I see it leading to a steep decline in 25-man raiding. Think about it, will the majority of players rather roll/bid against up to 9 other people (in a fairly easily stacked group) or up to 24 other people for the same items? For that matter, why go through finding and having 25 people learn the encounter when 10 is faster and logistically easier? No thank you Blizz, if you're going to change this go back to the BC system of 25-man zones and 10-man zones.
Can't wait for Cataclysm! This info makes it even more awesome!
I'm psyched! Thanks for the information. :)
Will we be able to fly from kalimdor to easter kingdoms and to northrend ? ?
5 more levels and some new content? /yawn. 95% of glyphs are useless, so you're just going to give us more of them? I hope some more changes are coming or its going to be pretty underwhelming.
I understand most of this and am ok with the changes except one thing. Why remove the guild talent tree? I thought it was a great idea because it was something that really made me feel like each guild would be unique and would actually factor into choices in what guild I wanted to be in.Removing this just makes it feel like how I do about my characters, they're all the same as everyone elses. my mage has the same rotation with the same spells at the same level as everyone else. My guild won't have a chance of having something different from other guilds.I liked the idea of having a guild spect for profesions (to give more ore, skins, or plants when gathering) vs having a raiding guild with mass resurrection and all that. My guild is small, it doesn't raid much if at all. I don't care about the raiding talents and I liked having a choice in it.This is just taking away an aspect of the game that could have been truly new and unique. This sucks.
What would happen to Thrall now that Garrosh is warchief ?
So far, I'm not overly excited. This however isn't anything I didn't expect as far as this goes. What we have here are things we've seen before. What I mean is this. They scrapped Path of the Titans because it was too hard to balance and was being dumbed down to an inscription system level. To add flare for removing this they added medium glyphs to the inscription system. Sure whatever. So basically they're saying that they aren't smart enough to add to their own game what they want and balance it. Or that they can't come up with ideas. This seems to be the case ever since the 30% dungeon debuff they added across TBC dungeons just before Wrath came out. There's a pattern here. There are a few players known throughout wow, or a few guilds, that seem to influence the game in directions that blizzard never intended and most often at Blizzard's admittance. So instead of try to make something brand new and interesting they waste their time trying to remake something old new again. They try to "beat" the people that they know will just as quickly find another method of "best vs worst" and make it so that you have to have certain abilities, combos of gear, and so on to get things done. Instead of leading to a game with multiple sides of game play they've pulled an "FFXIII". In other words, they've made it extremely linear. Is this changing with Cataclysm? By taking out things like PotT they're taking out ways to make it multifacetted. Now each class has a large amount of skills that tend to do the exact same things, the "restoration effect" being a good example from the past. This equates to boring. With Cata they're doing this even more. Tanks in cataclysm being an example. They're consolidating how each tank works. They're all basically using the same abilities and stats. This wasn't always the case and in the past it worked okay and made for more interesting game play. Not just the beat it and move on mentality. So to put all this short and simple, Cataclysm is just more dumbing down. The only thing I see it has going for it now is pretty new pixel combos and some okay talents. However, even the talent trees have very little flexibility. Everything they had as a grand new design and new concept has already been scrapped. For those that haven't been scrapped, some of the best ideas have been taken out of them. Guild achievements being a good example of this. Still the focus is on gold as opposed to what could have been a fun method for smaller guilds of friends to get together and do things to earn some guild cash and have a good time, then going to buy guild prizes. Now you'll have to be part of a guild that can do all of the higher end achievements just to get anything considered worthwhile. Then go and waste more time farming for gold. Farming in and of itself being mind numbingly boring, yet Blizzard just keeps adding more stuff to farm wasting time that could be spend enjoying the game. For the record, taking a bit of the emphasis off cash might actually lead to a much lower rate of gold farmers/sellers in game and also decrease the appeal of it from many of the players, thereby also decreasing account theft and so on. Anyway, this being said, it'll be interesting to see if they can pull off anything new and amazing or if they just add more old stuff but scale it up to a slightly higher degree. Will tanks now have 100k life at top end? *yawn* or will there be something that allows a tank to actually play his class? Decisions to be made last second that could influence the way the fight goes.. the decisions the bosses make and so on. More Hack'n Slash or some new strategy play. Strategy that can change to varying degrees over time.
I guess with Path of the Titans going bye bye, Archaeology hits the door aswell. If THREE of the major things advertised with this expansion are being scrapped this early, I'm just moving on to SWTOR. Why buy cataclysm? Two new races modeled after old skins, they're rehasing some old world, you'll see a few new spells, and some new areas. They better have a LOT of new stuff added to make up for this.
k pot.gone..san pandaarchology-sad pandawhat they have not released is what is going to happen to the other major cities is northrend not going to be affected at all?what about iron forge , undercity, there are in starting zoneswill northrend get a ah finally. and I thought in cata we were starting at level 5 not starting at level 1 again. people have like 25-30 level 80's what are they going to do with all of there alts? i just have one main and one alt. that it because I wanted my char to be the best it can be.the pic's I saw about stormwind arent that exciting.I thought there were tearing apart the world now it looks like minor chngesother than the horde side which is completey diffblizzard is contradicting itself first they say they will not release a product until its polish but then on then other hand there like no, wait never mind that we will just scrap half the chnges. are they on a dead line or not ? I would rather wait untill 2012 with all there ideas then get in in sept/oct nove/ with half the orig content cut out. I mean really I know they say nothing is set in stone but last blizzcon they had a whole conf on it ? . will I play the exp yes I will . but will I start looking for a another game yes I will. there 11 million sub's will wane. sub are fickle dissapoint them and they will go else where. and I hate saga's please create another kind of sea creature if I have to kill one more saga I will scream. and new emotes new dances and a new soundtrack ty .
I'm looking forward to the flexibility of the raid lockout. No raid IDs! yay!
Do to the complicated nature of flying mounts we've decided it was too hard to allow people to use them in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms. Also the goblin and worgen models weren't animating properly so those have been scrapped too.
Meh I still think they need to get rid of Enrage Timers on bosses so other players don't **tch about "dps" and more people can enjoy the game. The game just isn't any fun anymore. Put that in Cataclysm.
