I like the Restless Blades for combat, but feel that other than that it hasnt changed much.
Not sure how I feel about Venomous Wounds. Seems odd to essentially require Rupture in the rotation for maxdps but then move Blood Spatter into Subtlety, and so far down you can't reach it. I would rather they did away with Garrote/Rupture for Assassination altogether and let us focus on Envenom.I also noticed they moved Dagger Spec far enough down Subtlety that you can't get both Precision and Dagger Spec with 51 points in Assassination. Will Mutilate now only require dagger in the main hand? Or is the assumption that we'll all be hit capped w/o Precision?Also, does the new party buff for Subtlety now mean they are trying to make Subtlety a viable raiding spec?

Since Blizzard reduced the damage of the Assassination tree, I combined the two I really liked, and well you can see the result. This is probably the tree I will use for PvP, although I will still have to check the bonuses of each talent tree when the Cataclysm officially comes out.BTW can anyone comment about any changes in this tree?and yes, I am using envenom instead of Evic, the damage turns out twice as high against Plate-wearers, and it doesn't really matter for the casters, the damage is almost the same against clothies.
i like the fact they are influencing using expose armor.

I'm hoping they make more "Fun" talents like they were talking about. Still seems to be a lot of buffing of moves. Although vendetta does look pretty awesome. I might have to shy away from combat come cataclysm :P

I play a combat rogue and have to say i'm pretty disappointed in the tree build. Assasination seems so much leaner/tight build, and the fillers have much more utility in a raid enviorment. For combat there is so much useless crap talents just to get to KS. I don't know where Blizzard get's that adding more armor on our leather pieces or other dumb stuff is "fun" cause it sure ain't. For pvp it's an entirely different story tho. One question, on the description of talent changes it has: Tier 6 > Blade Twisting (2 points) listed as - Unchanged. But on the talent calculator it just has "Gives your damaging melee attacks a 10% chance to Daze the target for 4 sec." Nothing on Sinister strike or backstab dmg. Is the calculator wrong or did they miss that change on the descriptions?
Vile Poisons was changed... I must say I have encountered a LOT of error in this wowhead preview and concluded it is not to be trusted. Doing everything in a rush just to get it out first does not compensate the effect of wrong information.
I wonder if this makes subtlety a serious PVE spec. just from a quick review of the changes it appears that the subtlety tree will be the weaker of the 3 once again. No.Perhaps if you are talking about pve, but then again sublety is not and will never be pve oriented. (nb: So stop asking to crunch numbers for pve sub!)Also if we are idd talking abt pvp. How did you then conclude combat to be better in every aspect of pvp then sublety? to have had it completely removed would be a deathblow to a sub rogue.Seriously?Initiative?A deathblow?

I can see a rogue with HaT in a party/raid (oooh an aura buff)Sub spec seems to empower its dps by keeping a bleed effect on although I don't really like the 60% chance to refresh the duration (I like maximumz!) Sounds kinda like our HfB cousin.Vendetta's power lasts for 30 seconds...sooooo is there a CD on it or something? I've been Mut for awhile and it was kind of a pain in the butt to place a bleed effect on the target so I hopped on the Combat wagon although with this talent, I may wanna pick Mut back up although idk about Murderous Intent We'll just have to wait and see

O.o!Master of Deception is being removed and if you look closely Heightened Senses is getting nerfed to "not giving stealth detection" !Does this means that the Subtetly tree will be dead in pvp and the era of "Vendetta" will begin!
It seems to me that the people building in Assassination are having points left over so i came up with a build that uses up those points up. Its a 56/12/8 build http://cata.wowhead.com/talent#f0eMhegoi0shuVuV0gZx0c its pretty much the same buid that most people are posting with a few exceptions. For one i did not put points in Murderous Intent I dont fully understand why an Assassination rogue would be using Backstab when Mutilate still does more damage. I mean yea we gain back 30 energy from Backstap but it doesnt seem worth loosing the damage from Mutilate. Instead of Murderous Intent i use those points for Improved Expose Armor. I did this for 2 reasons, one we dont lose any CP we generated during the fight, and two wouldnt Expose Armor help out the raid dps dish out more damage? It was just a thought also like most of the Assassination builds i notice that there having 4 points left over. So i fig to contiue to help out the raid more I use those 4 points in Quick Recovery and Endurance. I did this for 2 reason the first one would be to help out the raid heals from wasting time and mana to heal us during the aoe hit during a fight. The second reason idk about other rogues but i use sprint in pretty much every fight in ICC so i fig having the the CD of sprint being cut down would help us out in the raids to come. If someone had this idea already and posted it im sorry i didnt notice it. Also keep in mind that yea there maybe changes along the way with our trees but the one thing that i notice is that out glyphs are not yet updated. Maybe when that happens will have a better idea in where to go with our trees. I just notice Turn the Tables does anyone think that would be somthing to consider instead of Quick Recovery?
