I love it. But I just hope that the anti-kick spam is not too harsh because I get maybe a kickable moron every 2 groups and would be a pain to not be able to kick before 15mins.
Very interesting, indeed!
Interesting. Promising, in theory.
Finally. I usually don't vote for kick much, someone must get on my nerves heavily. So when that happens, I expect the turdtard to be out asap!
This might also indirectly stop people from dropping group as frequently on instances they don't like, just so they retain the ability to vote out people immediately when they need to do so. Anything that keeps ten people from bailing on Occulus...
Would also be nice if they fix the problem where, when you vote-kick someone, the "reason" box doesn't show up to fill in a reason for kick.
Badass picture there, Miyari. Ninja cat!
Sounds promising! This should keep the nerdragers at bay. Or at least teach them some patience. Or discourage them from even running heroics in the first place. =D Yay!
I dont think I like this. This encourages elitism.1. Zone in2. Kick lowest dps3. ?4. Profit
What about miss clicks when someone was trying to inspect another party member?
hey this is fine n all but im sure my abandonment is gonna be high up there now b4 you get the idea that i leave groups all the time cuz i think they suck that aint true i leave as soon as i find out the random wev been taken to is one iv done soooooooooooo many times id rather wait 30 extra mins then do it again. sigh* guess ill just have to buck up n do Old kingom or Drak Therion keep for the thousandth time..... ugh XP
Eh, not too crazy about this. The battle group that I've been playing on recently is littered with bad players who also have severely bad attitudes. I've been cussed out more times than should ever happen and had to sit there and take the abuse (my chat links weren't working, so I couldn't /ignore them) because there was no way to kick the person, or because we've already kicked one person out from our group before (like a ret paladin who thought he could tank if he only put on green tank gear and caused the group to wipe 3 times).I think they should fix the "reason for kicking" box so they can keep track of why you're kicking someone and have that factor in somehow.
I kick a TON of people. I'm sure my battlegroup is not special but I run into ninjas all the time. That's not the only sort of person though. AFK players, people who do not respect other group members, hunters/rogues who constantly misdirect to healers getting the group killed and laugh about it, the list goes on. I am excited for this change but quite worried about the penalties for using the system often. I wish I only had to use the vote kick feature in exceptional situations, but the number of times people need to be booted are all too commonplace, and my kicks almost always pass.
I see this as just another reward for the LFG trolls that use it all the time to farm their badges. It's like their little "payback" for not raiding. You try to do a LFG and they get all upset that your GS is higher then theirs, even though I don't even have GS addon. Then if you don't do what they like they just vote kick you for being an "elitist" even though you haven't even talked to them. I've pretty much given up on LFG a long time ago as a broken tool that can't be fixed and these changes are just going to exacerbate the problem. Normal dungeons have almost as many but not as bad as heroics.I guess the benefit is they can kick you right away at the start of the dungeon instead of right before the last boss.
It will be very nice when they remove the limitation on kicking people while in combat.
