it is about time!
I wonder how long before beta invites actually go out...Part of me wants to join it, but another part wants it to be nice and shiny when retail launches...
That was a horrible, horrible pun, Blizzard. :-(
That was a horrible, horrible pun, Blizzard. :-(I didn't even see it.../shame Blizzard
I got mine in............. I cant wait.
we're worgen real hard to get the beta going soon!Haha... On a side note, I wonder what the process is to pick Beta testers...
Would be nice if I could actually log in to Battle.net. I haven't been able to get the site to load for 2 days.
the time for beta is close at hand, right now we're at may 13, give the alpha 2 more weeks and that's 1 month of alpha, wich is usually what the alphas last anyways.this means, that in roughly 2-3 weeks beta starts, so those who wish to participate (as in 99% of the players in wow) must use the beta sign-up option on the battlenet acount section (they provided the link)just download the application, let it scan your PC, and send the info to blizzard, and then 3 check-boxes show up, for all 3 of the diferent game universes of blizzard (Diablo, Starcraft, and Warcraft)just check the ones you wish to participate for the beta (for the dummies, if you want to be on cataclysm beta that's the Warcraft check-box xD) and hit the upload button.that is all, after that light up 20k candles, pray to jesus+alah+buddah+ganesha+shiva+satan+loki+zulu+krishna+any other deity divine or pagan you can come up with, cross all of your fingers, and MAYBE just maybe you will be one of the VERY lucky individuals to get an invite.a word of warning, this means that the OFICIAL invitations for the beta have begun, so the scammers will be trying HARDER THAN EVER to get your account, before you greedely accept anyting sent to your account be sure to double-triple check it first.if needed be, if an invite is sent to your email, go to the oficial site of wow, go to account management, and log on there, the option to download the beta SHOULD be there, don't just follow any random links sent to your email, no matter how oficial they look.BE SUSPICIOUS!BE ALERT!BE SAFE!(this message was brought to you by the latin-american association against scammers for account security ^^)I got mine in............. I cant wait.don't let it go to your head bro' you signed up for the beta, and that's good, but from there to actually getting invited the chances are VERY low, wow has an estimated population of 11 million players, at best we're looking at arround 6000-8000 people invited at most.that's less than 5% of the total population, so don't get your hopes too high, that being said, I wish you and everyone else all the best luck in the world because getting invited is like winning the lottery, and I also hope that some miracle happens and I also get an invite.
Hope it comes out soon, can't wait !
=( I don't get the pun........ (though thats because english isn't my main language)
English isn't my mother language either but I think is "working" instead of "worgen"."we're working real hard to get the beta going soon!"
English isn't my mother language either but I think is "working" instead of "worgen"."we're working real hard to get the beta going soon!"Correct, in some dialects of English "working" ends up sounding a lot like "worgin" especially down here in the Bible Belt (Southeast US) where we don't like to enunciate.
Bah - I can't do it from work since I don't have my authenticator with me!
Yay, beta! I don't plan to opt in because I prefer not to have anything spoiled before the final release, but it's exciting to hear that things are under way.Also... good pun, Blizzard. I groaned in a good way when I read it. Keep up the high standards of humor.
You've been able to "opt in" for ages. This is just an evasive way for them to announce the Beta isn't far off.
You've been able to "opt in" for ages. This is just an evasive way for them to announce the Beta isn't far off.pretty much this :Pthe whole announcement was made more like a reminder for players to opt in because the beta is near. (as if we needed to be reminded of that xD)
Must get beta! *Looks around wildly for a person to shake.*
Bah - I can't do it from work since I don't have my authenticator with me!Shouldn't really be doing it from work anyhow as Blizz wants the info of the comp you'd play on... not to mention your work comp might require permissions above yours to run the comp info scan anyhow and without that you can't opt in.You should have enough time to do it when you get home still.
Alright! Won't be long till the beta begins, I can't wait!
