Great guide as always=)
I wanna keep my orphan!I've always wanted an in-game daughter to watch her mother kill scary nightmare monsters.
Are the orphans targetable by foes?I'm wondering about doing daily quests in Tanaris/Un'Goro (for my ravasaur) if the little nipper can be smooshed by a dinosaur.
Children's Week already? Time flies when you're not actively playing WoW.

Nice, looking forward to this! Ive never done it before for some reason...Just never appealed to me, but this year I will!
Can anyone who completed the Dalaran orphan quests last year pick up the quest again this year? I cannot... :(
They should really remove the PvP requirements from the meta. :/
Oh say, is it that time of year?Oh say, are we not there yet?Yes Children's Week is hereAnd every moron wants a pet.I can't do EotS in peaceIt's the same crap every yearWish I could call the policeOn this FC in PvE gear. So, Blizzard, hear my pleaOr this torment will never ceaseI'm fine with pets, events are fineWhen you removed my Dewbot oh how I did whineBut these people can't PvPSo get them the hell out of my BGs.Can anyone who completed the Dalaran orphan quests last year pick up the quest again this year? I cannot... :(Not working for me either.

It's May 2nd in Europe. All the other event quests work fine.
assuming EU gets it before we do over here, it may be because Blizz failed to reset the Dalaran orphan event. it wouldn't be the first time they forgot to reset an event... *cough midsummer fires, hallow's end buckets, etc. cough*
They didn't reset the Dalaran Children's Week quests. Oops. :P
Children's Week is by far the most punishing meta for Long Strange Trip so far this year. School of Hard Knocks is punishing and time-consuming. You also need a good dose of luck unless you and your guild go into a pre-made achievement run. Please, Blizzard. Remove this meta. It sucks all the fun out of the season.
As of May 2nd, 2 AM on US servers, you cannot repeat the Northrend orphan if you did it the year before. So sad, I wanted my little Oracle :(
Found a tiny error in the guide, almost at the bottom it says that Veteran Nanny is required for the Meta, which isn't true anymore. And thanks for the guide.
I swear... Miyari is still doing something for me, and I still feel dirty about it. But at least it's distracting me from the nightmare that is School of Hard Knocks.
Correction. After you take the Draenei Orphan to O'ros, you have to do Call of the Farseer. Then you get to take her to Shattrath for the reward.
I don't particularly desire a burgundy protodrake, even if it is 310% flight speed - which is lucky, because I'll NEVER be able to get it, considering I hate PvP and battlegrounds. I think the PvP achievement should never have been part of the overall meta. The WSG flag return sub-achievement is particularly unforgiving, it's difficult to see how anyone who isn't totally decked out in PvP gear - and preferably belong to a melee DPS class/spec - is going to manage this one.(The reason I hate PvP and battlegrounds incidentally is because of the tremendous burst DPS many classes are capable of these days where they can destroy 20k health in roughly 3-4 seconds, and often even faster; typically entirely within the stun length period of a cheap shot/hammer of justice etc. It's just no fun playing in that kind of environment where the advantage is ENTIRELY weighed in favor of a couple classes which have an easy rotation of super hard hitting abilities - often coupled with a CC of some sort.
