Interesting changes....I can't say I'm crazy about a cap for them, though...I'm usually pretty lazy when it comes to spending my points (honor atm), and I usually end up wasting points because I hit the cap. Ah well. Guess I'll have to get better about it. haha.A PvE to PvP point transfer, and vice versa? crazy... o.O
Amazing news! Both the cap in pve emblems and rating req removed in pvp simply sound good
I love the idea that I can BG all I want and I won't be penalized by not raiding or Arena as well. Definatly positive changes here!
I like this. It makes the system a lot less clunky and more consistent across PvP and PvE.I really like how they are making sure we don't have a bunch of outdated currencies clogging up the PvE system adding unnecessary steps for the purchase of some items.
Heh aye, going to be nice to rework the badge system.
Try as hard as I can, I don't see anything bad with this. The limit on weekly gain (coupled with 10/25-man sharing the same lockout) will finally relieve me of the burden of raiding 5 nights a week and having to do 7 random heroics, and having to do my normal dailies.
This.I love it. Thank you, Blizzard. Thank you so much.
nice changes, i can finally get a good pvp weapon without having to worry about arenas
Thank you so much Blizzard. I love you 4evah!
@ShoeTacticalim guessing its probably for people that may want to PvP, but everyone else is so geared outt hey dont stand a chance of winning, so PvE to get points, transfer to PVP points, and actually not get 4hit by that blood elf in full frost PVP
The only problem I have with this is when a new tier is released and the valor points being converted would put you over the cap, you might end up losing your hero points and then not being able to buy the new "badge" gear right off the bat if you had been saving up. So I hope they at least consider a cap that isn't too low so people can get some of that new loot, other than that though it sounds pretty badass.
yeah this is awesome. now i dont have to setup parental controls to monitor my play. Instead of having endless fun, playing as much time as i want and receiving appropriate awards for time and effort, Blizzard is nice enough to cut off the rewards and send me back to playing console games.
I love this. With every blue post, my anticipation grows even more for Cataclysm. I can't wait.I LOVE how they are streamlining/simplifying everything. I'm glad they've dedicated a great deal of this expansion to cleaning up the game's rough edges, making things less clunky.
Very nice changes and so far the only ones that don't give you a speculation spree in your mind simple, clean and efficient. I AM CG AND I APPROVE THIS CHANGE.
I am opposed! I don't know why, though. Probably too many changes too quickly. I'll probably end up liking these changes though. I am the kind of person who after deciding to go for something, runs sources of pets/rep/honor/badges incessantly to get as many (much) as possible as quickly as possible. So not too happy about the weekly caps. On the other hand these will probably apply to things I rarely (Raid <- your gear sucks!) or never (arena) do, so I'm unlikely to hit the weekly cap. Caps in themselves don't have to be a problem. I just hope there's enough stuff to spend it on. At least honor can be used to buy epics and store them.I suspect this system will work nicely. I do hate having older emblems that I can't effectively use for anything.
Sounds great to me. I do have a question though.Ok, so this comment is not directed at these changes necessarily, but the mention of converting different points to other points made me think of the gear these points can buy. So will the gear I can buy with my points for PvE look different than my gear for my points for PvP? I can see good things and bed things no matter which way it goes. Some of the PvP gear looks really cool so it'd be nice to buy that gear with PvE points at no conversion lose because I just like how it looks! This brings up a separate question of gearing in general. Why not take any piece of gear and allow people to choose from a range of designs or maybe just colors? Similar to how characters can get different faces/hair styles. I haven't been playing WoW since Beta like some folks have but I hear there were some great looking tier sets "back in the day" and it would be cool to see them come back, or at least be more customizable. I know that it's not possible to please everyone all the time but at least they can give everyone options for their own style. :)-Raw
