To explain the reasoning for the weekly cap on points for the higher tiers, this is to provide flexibility in how players choose to earn the points without feeling like they have to do all of the content as often as it is available. If your Valor income from raiding is sufficient, you may not feel the need to run Dungeon Finder every night, or perhaps even at all. Likewise, a PvP player could choose to participate in a lot of Rated Battlegrounds but no Arenas, or focus on both, and still be able to earn the points they want. "without feeling like they have to do". We don't. Have to. We just do, because we're better. And if some nub 6 year old doesn't have time cuz mommy says it's time to go to bed... sucks to be him, grow up. For adults that can manage their own life and play time... this sucks. Badly. Now we're F&cked with the same gearing rate as the nubs. Thanks, blizzard. way to fail.
Where did I say that the new raids won't drop gear? A lot of teh gear raiders wear nowadays comes from emblems, and limiting the rate at which you can gain emblems (or points or wtf ever) to that of a nub who doesn't raid at all seems to be more than a little stupid. The point of a hardcore raider is to be better than them. How am I supposed to set myself apart from the nubs when I don't have the gear. I clearly can out dps them, even in the same gear, but the POINT is to instantly and clearly be better to any observer, not to a dps meter.
