It's funny how alot of people said they wont buy the mount, but alot of other people did. Also I think the money from the mount purchases will go towards a super coffee maker and awesome donuts for the employees
I read on their FAQ that they don't plan to stop selling the mount, so the amount of stock they have... will be filled again... right?Broke atm... :(
Heh. Celestial Steed purchasing: live beta testing for the Blizzcon Ticket Rush 2010. Hopefully they got the bandwidth numbers they needed today to know how much hardware/internet bandwidth they'll need when they release Blizzcon tickets for sale to keep the Blizzard store from crashing. Seems like they've kept it fairly stable for the most part.
Wouldn't people leaving the queue for other reasons than buying the mount kinda warp the numbers a little bit? Besides, people could be in queue to buy something else besides the mount.
Heh, hey, I'm happy with it; one quick charge of 25 bucks = 13 Celestial steeds across my account.
As long as this is the only type of micro transaction that are in the game I'm fine with that a few vanity pets and a mount or two in the future. I mean it is a great cash cow for blizzard/activision
That's just... mind boggling. Add in how many of the Lil' XT's that they've sold & it's... amazing. The thing that gets me the most out of the whole thing: The fact that with things like this that they sell, they put no more resources into this than anything else in the game. It's 100% profit. On that note, if I were still into the game & had the money, I would be all over this mount. :P
people dont seem to realize that it costs 140k / day to keep WoW running. http://www.geekologie.com/2010/04/12/wow-chart-full.jpg
I hope the queue is a bit shorter when I get home...I do wish they had at least a few different colors or something. It will look a little silly to see these everywhere. The simple fact that I can have one mount that will be usable everywhere its pretty much why I want it...
Why is there a limit on a digital in game item? Unless they are only going to sell a set number of mounts.
now factor in paying as many people as they do, on top of funding SC2 / D3 and activisions other projects.
