Here's my issue:The druid is the only class that is capable of performing every role in a raid. Every...single...role.So, why should a kitty DPS be on par with a rogue or fury warrior? Why should a Bear be a better tank than any other class? Why should a Boomkin be on par with mages and warlocks? And why should a Tree be as good at healing as a priest or Shaman?Honestly, rogues should be the top melee DPS class, because they're incapable of any other specUnderneath should be warriors and DKs because they can also tankBeneath them should be Paladins and Shamans because they have three possible rolesAnd finally kitties because they're capable of four rolesSame with tanking. Warriors and DKs should be the premier tanks. Then Paladins, then Bears.Ranged DPS should have Mages, Warlocks, and Hunters at top, then Priests, then Shamans, and finally boomkinsPriests should be the best overall heals, then shamans and paladins, then trees.Ultimately, the cost of class flexibility should be reduced individual effectiveness. As the saying goes: "Jack of all trades, Ace of none". Granted, specialization should be a factor...different classes being more effective in certain fights, and all classes making their own contribution to group synergy. But in a one-on-one face-off, the class with the least amount of flexibility should shine more at it's chosen role.
wow, its gonna be even more unbearable to play against an enemy flag carrying druid in WSG
So why is ToL not cool enough for the devs but Moonkin is? It's much more hideous
atleat Give ToL an improved ToLform talent that makes it permant :/
I love the changes so far.Balance got some nice things to play with and I like their solution to Eclipse. It is way smarter than I expected.Ferals will get a new interrupt, which is outstanding and needed. Mangle doing more damage for those times we cannot Shred is nice, but why are they reverting the Mangle nerf they did a while ago? Perhaps combining Mangle and Shred into a single attack could be more interesting. I know, Mutilate crap and blah blah blah, but it makes sense. Making the rotation more forgiving... I would like see how they are going to do that.As for Resto, I think they went the in the right direction. Druids have a great combination of spells. Rejuvenation, Wild Growth, Regrowth, Lifebloom, Healing Touch, Nourish, Living Seed, Swiftmend. All those are different and nice and even though our most powerful heal is really slow, Druids have a lot of different tools. New spells are definitely not needed. The polemic part of the changes is, obviously, the change to Tree Of Life. I think they should do the same about Moonkin Form. I welcome the change. Humanoids are great spellcasters, they do not need to turn into other beings that are not better at spellcasting than humanoids. I like the change and I want to see what they are going to do about ToL 'aura', armour and stuff like that.I like it.
But... I want my Tree of Life... Why are you hurting my pretty tree? Why?/sad
So what u r saying is that druid should be kick out of the game then CynicalOtaku
As a feral I'm excited. The added button to tanking is godsend. It is at the moement a 1-button-mash-up.Also looking how they simplified the feral rotation with mangle change, I'm hopefull it will be something just as insigthfull. And KICK! We might actually have a chance againts healers in pvp. Except other resto druids, nothing kills them. For a change I see something good come out of Blizz.
It all sounds pretty much @#$%ed up.Im resto druid and not really looking forward to cataclysme.But... we'll just wait and see. Maybe its not so bad.Not looking forward to be polymorphable for mages. Don't make it CD.Boomkins and Feral *!@#$es will be a lot more interesting though.Coclusion... Just wait and see what they make from it.
stampeding roar sounds cool, add a battlecry like /y CHARGE! is really gonna add drama in it haha xD.though i dun play Druid but a resto druid losing his/her tree form as a permanent buff is kinda sad even for me.sure is the player much much more flexible in terms of not needing to change form to cast other spells but ...is still a nono for me. but redesigning the Tree of Life form is SWEET! purple tree alliance and horny tree horde xD *just making a joke*
Loveing these OGOD A RESTO NERF cry posts, I myself played resto to season 6 and it was way to boring to stand, so im feral now, and its way more fun. Though with the mangle buff I see lots of druids dropping shred out of pvp completely and being mangle spam spec, and im sure were gonna see lots of people flock to the feral side once they notice its completely easy to play now.
i dont know but i have a feeling that tells me mangle will be nerfed but i hope they dont nerf it
at least if theyre gona change the shred position requirement they must reduce the energy required for shred ( which is 60 ) without looking at the talent shredding attacks that reduces the energy requirement...
See the thing here is, is that even though druids are the only healing class who should be in a forum to cast spells, they're the only ones who, to me, were DESIGNED to always be in forms to do ANYTHING. This is like a nightelf doing melee dps in their nightelf form; it just doesn't make sense to me. If you want a cooldown, then fine, make one, just I don't see why changing the entire healing class base mechanic is worth it. Honestly I kind of like tree form, it's a quirk to being a druid. If I wanted to be healing in nightelf form, I'd make a priest.I will say I like some of the feral buffs going on at least. However, if I remembered correctly mangle got nerfed before, expect it to happen again. Cat form's rotation is at least fairly interesting right now, I just don't want it getting too much more complicated, it is as it stands the most complicated rotation in the game.Bear form tanking gets boring sometimes, so seeing some stuff added might be interesting, however I think it works fine as is. Bears do do a lot less dps as a tank then pretty much any other class right now, so seeing that become more balanced might be nice.As for those "jack of all trades, master of none," if I remember correctly, pallies are fairly OP right now, not druids. Not to mention, what's the point of being a worthless class (seems like priests are honestly getting there)? Druid's are set up to not be usable really as a hybrid. We are not, in a single spec, the best at doing everything. If that was true, this might be an issue, but we're not.
wow thats the only reason i rolled a druid was to be a silly looking tree that waddles everywhere. This is dissapointing. :(
