One word: Shroomkins.
So... Druids = Teemo
Moonkin seems like a better choice for a cooldown form. Could be tied into praying for blessing of elune? Tree form on a cooldown should be tree form transforming into an ancient of lore or something for "highly tuned" healing spells with some offensive capabilites...I dunno
Blizzard just failed. I mean honestly. to be fair, this is the same effect as having a cooldown for 30 seconds allowing you to cast Healing Wave or Flash of Light or Greater Heal.
...fail...complete failfailshroomsome crappy speed boostsome crappy tanking abilityreally? fail...The only saving grace is feral is getting an interrupt.lets hope the rest of the changes to the class isn't as bad.gotta be the worst class preview yet.LOLTREECDFAILWTFWEREUTHINKINGHAHAHAHAHALOLROFLLMAOOMGFAIL...i wonder how many ppl r going to reroll.
You guys are missing the point; resto druids will heal just as well, but in caster form. Now there will be a resto version of Berserk.Cat interrupts? Bear mobility? hellsyesomnomnom.
Wild Mushroom sounds quite a lot like "Noxious Trap" from the champion Teemo in League of Legends.Exactly what I was about to say. :P
Well you haven't really given it a chance, there are still many things to be explained, and things that could change.
I main a Resto Druid, and to be honest I love Tree Form. The whole idea of utility seems kinda of ridiculous, because lets be honest, isn't the point of druids to go into different forms for the situation you are in? You would not expect to cast a spell in cat form, and you can't cast heals in Doomkin, so why take away Tree Form all together? Maybe a better option would be to keep Tree Form, but then have a cooldown that boosts your healing even for a set amount of time. Kind of a best of both worlds sort of solution.
So how how is healing working outside of the healing form?
Resto Druid here...Blizzard, I am Dissapoint (when it comes to resto)But what they have done wiht eclipse is AWESOME!
I'm completely at a loss to explain the ToL change. Healers don't really use buff cooldowns like this, that's why we try to leave the on-use trinkets for the DPS and covet the passive ones. I am not sure there is a way to do this where it remains an iconic ability for the spec. We shall see, I usually don't dog the devs too much, they are quite good at their jobs but, this ones got me stumped.I am actually pretty happy about the no new spells thing, no "middle heal" means less homogenization which is all win as far as I'm concerned. Let's hope this means that tranquility, healing touch, lifebloom, and to some extent regrowth get some reworking.Oh yeah, I'll get an interrupt while I put on my cat suit to grind out five levels :) all and all I won't complain until i see some clarification on the ToL change, everything else looks pretty good to me.
Noooo, not tree of life! :(
It's funny. I have generally supported WoW for my entire career with the game. From beta, through vanilla, through BC, through WotLK up until now I have always figured Blizzard knew what they were doing. Balance was balance, they do it for a reason, etc etc. I've played a paladin since the beginning, back when protection paladins were a joke.I've played a warlock since the beginning, back when they were the worst class in the game.I've played a shadow priest since the beginning, back when you were literally kicked out of raiding guilds for not speccing holy because shadow was deemed useless.I even played a resto druid before tree form was even introduced. But then they gave the only druid spec without a shapeshifting ability their own unique toy. Suddenly my druid felt like a druid and not just another healer. Now they are taking it away. And for the first time ever I am going to re-roll a class due to a change Blizzard has made.Thank you for chopping down my tree Blizz.
Can understand the disappointment with the ToL form, even though I don't have a druid myself. I assume that Blizz might change this pre-release, to find a happy compromise.Been planning to start a new class once Cata comes out, and I have to say, I'm definitely considering a boomkin after seeing the eclipse mechanic, it's so unique and interesting. I just wonder how mastery will affect it.
The Eclipse change is gorgeous :DWild Mushroom sounds quite a lot like "Noxious Trap" from the champion Teemo in League of Legends.Exactly what I was about to say. :PSo do I :)
Blizzard just failed. I mean honestly. to be fair, this is the same effect as having a cooldown for 30 seconds allowing you to cast Healing Wave or Flash of Light or Greater Heal.WTF is up with the nerdrage about the Tree of Life change?I mean, the quote above is just flat out ridiculous. They're not going to take away our baseline ability to heal. That's going to stay the same, we just won't need to be in tree form to reach it. Plus we'll get a 30s boost to healing. Personally, I think it'll be nice to have a healing cooldown other than NS.Also, in terms of utility, yeah it bothers me sometimes. There are times where I want to, say, cyclone a mind controlled person in Deathwhisper, but it's not just a question of casting the spell, I also have to spend mana and a GCD getting back into "healing form." No other healing class has to deal with this. Paladins, priests and shamans can all access their full range of spells while in healing mode. (Some of them have to give up access to certain things to get into "DPS form" notably priests, but no one gives up anything, other than pure talent-tree stuff, in order to heal.)I can understand being upset about not looking like a tree, I guess. Personally, I think it's a fairly dull look, and I do get tired of always looking the same, regardless of what new gear I get. They could've gone the bear/cat way with it, but this works too if you ask me. But then, I guess there are some people who like the look a bit more than I do.But honestly, other than looks, I don't get the degree to which people are getting their knickers in a twist over this change.
semms that i am gona quit my druid and turn it into balance and i dont know what to do with the dual spec ( resto )■Tree of Life will be changing from a passive talent to a cooldown similiar to Metamorphosis. Tree of Life won't be able to be banished and the model for Tree Form will be updated.■Feral cat rotation will be more forgiving. It's not that they want to remove what people like about the gameplay, but want it to be less punishing if you miss something, such as a Savage Roar or Rake.
I am probably misreading something, but, how long do the shrooms last for? Or can you only make one at a time? Cause it seems like you could grow a bunch in a small area, they go invisible, then you go turn cat and prowl and wait for one very unfortunate enemy player to waltz on by until they get ganked by a herd(yes, shrooms travel in herds) of invisible-exploding shrooms.
Awww, I don't wanna see my gear when I heal. I like druid BECAUSE I don't have to look at my gear. But then some people actually like seeing their gear I guess. The interrupt makes me happy for kitty cat =3
