How to raid for dummies
Atleast its only for Normal mode >.>
Why is everyone confused and falling back on this magical word called, "Progression"? As stated from dictionary.com:Progression- 1) The act of progressing; forward or onward movement.2) A passing successively from one member of a series to the next; succession; sequence. The word you should be using is, "Remedial". Remedial- adj.1) Intended to correct or improve deficient skills in a specific subject: i.e. remedial reading. Can you imagine Halo needing to be hotfixed because Legendary was just too hard? If you can't do it, you can't do it. Take what you are given to you and make it work. Some nerfs and hotfixes to classes are not due to a class just being too OP, but due to people taking what they had available to them and making it work.My druid in Vanilla WoW had over 45k armor (I think wars only had like 20k). Ferals were laughed at back in the day for just trying to be what we are, and tanking was unheard of. I made use of the internet, found the most random leather gear with high armor from the most random places and made it work. I was a brick wall with teeth, that could not die from melee attacks. Enough of the glory days..Back on track. Not everyone should be able to see the same content, have top end gear. I would love to have a Arena Frostworm. Waiting around for it won't help my case. If I want it, I have to beat you all in the arena, I have to EARN it. It will probably never happen, but good. That's the point. If I did have one, I wouldn't want just anyone to have it either. I would only expect to see other "champions" who have earned the title also.Estlin, Which raid we going to? lol I see you there.
Please stop crying. Nobody is misusing the word "progression", and comparing this situation to a goddamn mount that you can get from Arena is beyond retarded.I know that this may be a new concept for many WoW players, but the world does not revolve around you, and neither does the game. Blizzard didn't spend all of this time developing the Lich King fight for the purpose of giving you the electronic equivalent of a sock to stuff in your pants. The Lich King fight is not about Bragging Rights(tm). It's a lore event. If you wanted bragging fights on the Lich King, you should have downed him by now. The window has passed.Incidentally, I'm wondering if the fact that Heroic LK was never downed by *anybody* before the buff was rolled out will finally shut up the "WoW is too easy now" whiners. I doubt that it will, but I hold some hope that the prescence of irrefutable data may someday penetrate the impermeable surface that is their collective hivemind.
Christ....the QQ is overwhelming.Welp. I guess my Rules are always true. There will always be QQ....about friking everything.
What happens when people are too stupid or lazy to down bosses with even a 30% buff? Will we eventually get an "Auto-one-shot" buff? The easier they make this "game", the dumber/lazier people will be when they start/play. They then QQ that the game is too hard and Blizz brings out the nerf-bat again. I think it should bother everyone that they're now designing the "game" with the assumption that the majority of the players are stupid and/or lazy. I'd be embarrassed if I needed hand outs to win a game. To all the people that are for this and all the other nerfs, please realize that this equates to Blizz saying: "We know you're too stupid and/or lazy to play a game that so many people succeed at without trying very hard. Pressing keys on a keyboard, understanding your class and the mechanics of Bosses are clearly too much for you to handle. In order to keep taking your money we know we have to stroke your ego and make you think it's your skill that's winning things for you. "I'd like to see "Nerf-free" or "HC" servers where those of us that take pride in our play and want to earn our gear don't have to mingle with those of you who don't. I'd rather NEVER see the Lich King fall than know it was given to me because I wasn't good enough.I almost wish the Blizz would give you your HC servers... but I insist on one thing. I should never have to play with your type ever again, no BG's, no LFD, ect. That puts you safely out of my hair, and you might even be happy with more like minded peeps to cross epeens with.
<stuff>Progression = Heroics -> Naxx -> Ulduar -> ToC -> ICCThat's great for maybe my first 2 toons, but there is no way I'm doing that for my other 4. So, for the sake of people with alts and people who aren't hardcore raiders they make it easier and easier to get geared for / do the latest raid. With the first 4, they released higher and higher lvl emblems. With the final instance, they're instead putting a stacking buff. In either case, it's for the sake of progression.
Attempted 10-player again last night and smashed all the way up to Professor Putricide, one-shotting every boss. Small addition but its made a massive difference on the increased effectiveness of our raid.
We downed Rotface with 24 people. Using the 5% buff essentially got us back the DPS that the missing person would have provided. So there is that to consider.
That puts you safely out of my hair, and you might even be happy with more like minded peeps to cross epeens with. You never make them touch. (The Whitest Kids You Know ftw)
You never make them touch. (The Whitest Kids You Know ftw)Andrin gayed all over my foot!
Why is everyone confused and falling back on this magical word called, "Progression"? When I said Progression, I meant for the Icecrown Citadel event, not about guild's killing new content and getting to the King. The event progressed from one wing open, then 2, then 3, then 4 and then Wrynn/Hellscream show up to lead the final charge... which is where the buff comes from.
