Does this also give your gearscore a 30% boost?
good that u killed him good that it was hard i dont wanna play a game get to the end and go that was too easy i like the challenge
i didnt say that it wasnt challenging read my original post there DB Cooper, i was commenting on the fact that they added a buff to help people thru i was commenting on the people who were saying it was too hard and my point was....IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE HARD THATS WHY ITS END GAME THATS WHY U GET UBER LEWTS FOR DOING IT ITS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE EASY!
That's the thing though: it's not easy. And I doubt the average PUG raid is only 5% short of being able to down the Lich King, so you're all whining about nothing anyway.Play more, cry less.
I wonder if the 30 will hit just before cataclysm so everyone can say they downed the LK before 85 made it trivial.
Frankly, anyone willing to play 7 days a week for 5+ months to build a set cannot really be considered "casual", and with the kind of gear/skill they'd have accrued they could/should be raiding anyway. It's nearly impossible for them to be playing that much and not know their class.By the way, even if they managed to do the weekly raid every week it would take them over four months to get a 4-piece set bonus, and they'd be playing about as much (or more) WoW as your average "casual raider" (7 days a week worth of dailies, plus a weekly raid). It's nearly impossible for them to be playing that much and not know their class. You haven't met my mother, have you? She has well over 100 days of /played time on her hunter, even managed to nab herself a full set of pvp gear back in the BC days, and she still has no clue how to play a hunter; the very same hunter that she's been playing for well about three years now.Unfortunately the cycle has begun anew with her Death Knight. At least I was able to teach her how to break 1k dps with her DK (on a test dummy at least. We'll see how she does in a real combat situation all too soon).
My guild is clearing ICC 10-and-25 first, and then using this buff. I mean, we're on the Lich King in 10-man, so it'll be a week before we use this ... but when we clear it on our own merit, we'll use the buff just for farming the place faster. Especially when bringing in new guildies or alts.
Honestly, people say it sucks mostly not because of the buff itself (as you could always turn it off), but because it would allow more people to down LK and thus hinder their ability to show out.
well done blizzard!

Good thing Blizzard don't listen to them.Their nerd-rage induced tears and QQ-i'm-quitting whining taste so delicious.
Wow ICC will be sooo easy now.... people in blues will be killing the lich king with the 30% buff.........
Wow ICC will be sooo easy now.... people in blues will be killing the lich king with the 30% buff.........Too bad that's months from now.
So uh, you know the people who are actually already killing Arthas? And did before this buff? Yeah, they're the ones not posting in this thread. Because the people who actually are plowing through content the fastest and not just pretending to be for the sake of whining on the internet really don't care if pugs do what they do now three months from now, nor do they care if pugs have only a few of the pieces of gear months from now that they have now. Those are the people intelligent enough to realize it doesn't matter to them what pugs do right at the end of the expansion.
My opinion is that the buff should "spread" through ICC the same way the wings were opened. Let it first affect just bosses up to Saurfang, two weeks later up to Professor, and so on. Anyone in the progress of Frostwing/LK now (which is only available for a while) would be able to try more before the buff takes effect. Right now it would be pretty stupid to turn it off for progress, thats like not using BoK.and/orKingslayer only if the buff is off.
every game has at least 3 difficulties you can pick:EasyNormalHardmany of them even have Extreme modeswhat blizzard is doing is nothing more then adding this kind of things in game.you want free shinies? get easy mode, turn buffs on and play normal bosses.you wish to play without stress? go for normal modes without the buffyou wish to start proving your skills? leave the buffs up, but try some hard mode contenthardcore? speak to garrosh to shut him up, hard modes are that way ->seriously, people complaining that the game is hard because there IS an easy mode is like people complaining dungeons are hard while still doing UK normal at level 80you have the chance of CHOOSING what you're playing, i miss to see what's wrong with it (and to prove you've done a boss without buffs a screenshot in combat is fast and proves no buff up)ps. QQ moar plz, i feed on your tears too
Let's look at raids for a sec. How many people do you know go into Serpentshrine Cavern, the Eye, or even Sunwell Plateau once WotLK came out?*cue crickets*Don't worry, I'll wait.Seriously, letting more casual type players go deeper into Icecrown Citadel now is a good thing, because once Cataclysm hits the shelves, who's gonna want to go there anymore?
For the people whining about how faceroll LK will be, it only takes 1 noob to drop a defile in the middle of the raid and form a massive black hole in 2 seconds wiping your raid.No buff will save you from that.
Sooo close to quitting, I don't want to... but the game is being ruined.Hmm... yes... your anguish sustains me...

The buffs do not remove the necessity of knowing and properly executing the tactics. They just allow lesser-geared people to do the things that needed better gear.
whether i have done it or not is completely a moot point, regardless of me doing it or not doing it doesnt change the fact that new end game content is suppose to be challenging its the natural progression of the game comparable to blizz releasing Cataclysm and a month later going meh this is a lil too hard lets nerf it a bit its kinda pointless, but getting to the orignal question no i havent ran it yet i dont have enough people in my guild that are geared enough to run it and i wont just run it with random people. all i have ran is the ICC 5-Mans* wild troll appears** wowhead users cast logic*It's super effective! And the wild troll goes down!
